    Default Hello, I'm new!

    Hello Basenoters!
    I'm new to the forum.
My name is Marco, from Italy, aged 45.
I've always had a fascination for perfumes since I was 14.
The first EDT I remember are Monsieur de Givenchy, my uncle fragrance of choice and Agua Brava, because me and my family used to go to Spain often in the early 80s.
The first scent I bought myself was Drakkar Noir, then Kouros, in High School I used to use Cool Water, Fahrenheit, Caractere and Zino Davidoff.
Later I've been a huge fan of Tuscany by Aramis, Polo Pour Homme and Azzaro.
But the EDT I love most is Paco Rabanne Pour Homme, a really enduring love from my twenties, I've emptied literally dozens of bottles.
    Recently I've discovered Floris Elite.
Today I'm wearing Aramis but I think is too powdery in comparison to the Invigorating Body Shampoo which I LOVE!
By the way I really like to wear fragrances that have full line of products, deo, shower gel, after shave and so on...
I'm a bit upset that PR dicontinued their fabulous Shower Gel, I have a half empty bottle (last one of 4 I bought last year) that I treasure and use only on special occasions. Are there any alternatives to it, do you kow of someone still offering it for sale?
    Have a nice day everybody.
    Marco

Paco Rabanne Pour Homme is a beloved classic. I got a nice compliment the last time I wore it.

I don't usually get into the other products in a line - I use generic bath products and unscented deodorant.

Those fragrances you used to love are still some of the best around. I've been wearing Tuscany and Fahrenheit this month.

Hi Marco! Welcome! Hopefully one of the guys can answer your question, but you have great taste!
My only regrets in life are the people I haven't stood up for,
and the perfumes I've thrown away.

    Welcome!

Another Marco-though I am a few years older.

I like bath products too-too bad that they aren't done much. Can't think of a good fougere that has shower gel. Perhaps Caron pour un homme? Not a fougere, but lavender.

Marco, I'm sure you already know this, but I believe a few peeps here have mentioned that Irish Spring has similarities. I don't really think so. But anyway, I think that was a conversation around here a few months ago.

    Welcome Marco!

I would suggest trying neutrogena rain bath, smells like a barbershop fougere.

    Welcome!

While not aware about any possibilities to get the respective shower gel-at least not so far-still hoping that shower gels matching all the other scents you own and/or liked while testing, belonging to the complete product lines of the respective fragrances, are still easy, affordable to get and also providing decent performances.
Both as their actual scents, especially as a rendition of their main fragrance line and also as performance after use.

Yesterday I was at a local household / beauty shop and they still had 1 bottle of Aramis Invigorating Body shampoo and of course I bought it. I rememered it a little stronger but is still one of the most refreshing shower gels I have ever tested. I suggest you to test it, it's wonderful (and I don't even like Aramis EDT too much)...
    Have a nice day,
    Marco
