Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. CapriDog, wishing you the sweetest of things on this day and always.

Yay for 6,000 posts from Cazaubon. Can't get enough of you! I trust Mr. C's surgery will have as happy an outcome as Mr. Q's. Wish him well for me.

Even with my limited oceanic knowledge, I know the beluga whale is of the Arctic and not Antarctic region, but I'm going with Guerlain Cuir Beluga to start the day. I have mere droplets of the juice, but even just a smidge on a knuckle radiates beautifully. It's not a fragrance I crave, but it's one I'm never unhappy with. Soft, elegant, and the ingredients are the best. Vanilla simply isn't one of the notes I'm drawn to.

Let us know how the retail therapy goes, Jon.

I've been filling in gaps in my life shopping for convenience items this winter. Most recently, I got a $20, pancake-size bluetooth keyboard. Paired with my tablet, it's like I have a purse-size laptop. Yes, I also finally got a smartphone this year (group moan), a monopod, a tele lens. But the thing that almost brought me to tears this week is my new vacuum hose. I won't torture you with the long story, but suffice it to say, I can't believe Trilby was more excited about her new car last summer than I am about this hose.
    I don't want to. I don't have to. You can't make me. I'M RETIRED.

    Hi, everybody --

Happy Birthday, CapriDog and congrats caz on your posting milestone, also wishing your husband a swift and complete recovery!

My planned sync fragrance (sample of Daesin Winter) seems to have gone on walkabout, so I'm syncing with a fragrance for explorers, L'Artisan L'Eau du Navigateur

The concert last night was one of the best I've been to in recent memory. I left the venue with a happy heart.Fabulous Friday, everyone!

L'Eau du Navigateur fragrance notes: Floral notes, Spices, Resin, Coffee, Rum, Leather, Tobacco, Frankincense, Myrrh, Cedarwood

JR - Chilean Merlot sounds awesome. I have been a regular on buying south American wines since 2005 and they do not disappoint. Excluding a bunch of European red's (Amarone / Valpolicella from Italy) & solid merlot's / cab / sauv from Australia / NZ, i am moving much closer in preference to the Chilean / Argentinian red's. I find them much more richer in body...
