    Hello all,

Timbuktu is my SOTD. Out of curiosity, I checked my inaugural wear day and it was December 14, 2014. I’ve had that bottle for over five years. It’s a classic of niche perfumery.

    Have a good day.

I've heard a lot about this fragrance but haven't yet smelled it. I will be in a store that carries it soon and might stop to check it out. It sounds interesting; with that combination of notes, I can't even imagine what it smells like in my mind.

Good morning everyone! I’m wearing Mugler Woodissime today. I was thinking of something woody and incense-y and this fits the bill nicely, but it’s not anything that I’m wanting to purchase.

PS The meeting with the Medicare specialist was extremely helpful ... I’m feeling much better. I didn’t realize though, that I had a 24 month waiting period from starting disability to starting Medicare. So now I have to find some insurance to tide me over.

    Have a great day, everyone!

shadesofbleu - thanks for the update & good luck with your insurance search
Chrome - Timbuktu is awesome and smells like nothing you've ever smelled before. It took me years to 'get' and I love it's unique character. Definitely sample worthy!

So I have pink eye - I stayed home and I'm working remote even though we're insanely busy at work. I cancelled my dentist appt tomorrow and held all of my morning meetings via video. Lot's happening at work (new software, new employee, data migration, performance reviews for everyone on my team, ack!) but I guess I can use this time to heal my eye (and my nerves). The eye isn't too inflamed or red...the infection is mild and the most uncomfortable part is the itching. It kept me from having a restful sleep last night. But overall my eye health is very good - so I should be back to normal soon.

Mike, so sorry about your eye! I hope it goes away soon.

I was in the mood for incense today so I'm wearing La Liturgie.

Flowerhead indeed; like being seated behind a pretty girl with expensive shampoo, who won't stop flicking her hair in your face. Not in any hurry to explore more, particularly in light of your (usually-spot-on to me!) thoughts on the house.

So, I needed something I know I like! Freshly bathed with a Lavender & Goat's Milk soap from Monsillage (yay for lovely North American made soaps!) and feeling much more content in Shalimar EdT. Shalimar fixes everything.

    Get well soon, Mike!

Hopefully, this won't be overly taxing! Anything related to insurance is time consuming and sometimes confusing to get straightened out and updated. Will be going through that soon, in this household.

I've had pink eye many times, as well as stys. Wishing you a full recovery soon. Any affliction near or in the eyes is a pain in the butt.

mike, healing vibes to you! Whatever you do, don't rub your eyes, & artificial tears should help with the itching.

I like it. Not sure if I *love* it but I love how even when you spray the tiniest amount its very much 'present'. There is something leather-ish, but so subtle. Very classy. Sort of like the whiff of leather in the pepper prominent Hermessence Poivre Samarcande. I feel that these two Hermessences have a lot in common perhaps the pepper one is slightly more 'synthetic'.

I def' like it better than the Hermessence Cedre Sambac, which honestly gives me a bit of a headache.

I cannot remember what the myrrh one smells like.

I'm very much in love with the myrrh one. My one gripe about Agar Ebene is that the longevity isn't nearly as long lasting as I would like. I was afraid it would be too masculine on me, but I found it very soft.

I have a sample of Cedre Sambac but haven't tried it on skin yet. It was my least favorite of the three on paper, though.
