Jasmin et Cigarette by ELDO from a sample a friend gave me

As long as I lightly apply this (jasmine aromachemicals can give me a headache easily) this is a lot of fun to wear. The smoke/sweet flowers balance each other out like salty/sweet.

My eye is a little better but still pink (mild) and much less itchy but still watery. No drainage or mess so it's not a serious infection. Should be normal in a couple days, I think. But still I will miss dinner with a family member in town so I don't infect them. Kind of bummed not to see them. But they just started a new job, they have a small child - too many risks.

Soooo jealous. How I wish they'd step up our TJ Maxx. That shower gel sounds awesome!

Happy Birthday to our celebrants! Nice to see you here, badarun! If you left Basenotes, I suppose that would make you goodarun (or at least, notsospendyarun), and we can't have that!

I had an old and failing dental filling removed & replaced today; don't recommend. He got me good and numb and I've reached the still numb and drooly, but starting to feel it, stage. I'm just lovely atm! Think I'm going to kick back for the rest of the day in Nicolai's Violette in Love.

Happy Birthday to badarun & La Flâneuse! Do they still post?

Very extreme smoke haze here - very strong smell & visibility is low. There is a forecast of rain to fall soon, a bit could fall tonight with more on Sunday/Monday which is good for helping put the flames out but if it comes in too quick & heavy it could cause flooding and/or landslides in the already bushfire damaged areas so please keep us in your thoughts over the next week. They should of completed the planned control burns last winter instead of cancelling them - enough said......

Started with Eau Rose by Diptyque & I'm now wearing L'Agent by Agent Provocateur. Might have to bring out the big guns to overpower the smell of smoke for the evening. Yes, Rose Flash I'm talking about you!

    Have a good day!
Australia is in my thoughts constantly. My brush clearing continues at a brisk pace, but I squelch through my garden on saturated ground. I have started talking to my Gator lopper. It's battery ran down and I said "Are you getting tired, baby?" Had to restrain myself from giving it a kiss.

How I wish I could send this constant rain and drizzle to you, CuddleCat!

I'm in Lolita my sweet Lempicka and plan a fire in my chiminea to enjoy a bit of incineration come dusk.

I’m wearing vintage Helmut Lang EDP today. This is so serene and beautiful. We’re going to more insurance meetings this afternoon. I’m so ready to get this figured out and relax!

    Have a good day everyone!

Paradeiserl, glad you're away from the hospital zone.

Shades, what a comfort that you got professional insurance answers. I hope you find something that'll bridge you for 24 months that suits your needs. Obamacare was the best and most affordable insurance I ever had, but Medicare is starting to look pretty good. Foxbins, I, too, see an Advantage Plan that should let me keep my doc, get SilverSneakers, and cover stuff I never got covered before due to having been self-employed most of my adult life.

    Be well, dear Mike.

PL, Jon, I've not been moved by anything Byredo either, nor offended.

Yesterday I went to our state capitol to visit dear daughter for the first time since she moved there. She took me to the Olbrich Botanical dome. Plants, humidity, and warmth were a pleasure at this time of year. Also enjoyed visiting with my only "grandchild," Clay Kitty. He's purring along at age 17.

I've just applied some SL Bois de Violette. The top notes still delight, but the drydown is blech. It's just got to be age/volume of air in the mostly empty bottle.

It's snowing here, but too warm to stick so I am just enjoying seeing the flakes drift down. In Mistral Patchouli while listening to Bertie Wooster have a bout of cat crazies in the hallway. It sounds like he's running as as fast as he can and then sliding on the floor. He'll be on my lap soon, all tired out.

Q, I love Madison...one of my favorite weekend trips I'm even closer now...only about an hour and a half away. We need to go up soon to visit one of our favorite restaurants, Tornado Room. Old fashioned steak joint...love it!

Great to see you posting, badarun! Hope you have had a wonderful birthday.

Thanks for the kind words, Basenoters are the best. Some Melbourne suburbs had flash flooding, hopefully it won't be as intense by the time it gets to the fire areas!

I did end up wearing Rose Flash for the evening.

Sorry, to hear you are getting warm weather in your winter. I know you have very long hot, humid summers. You guys, need a cool winter to help you prepare / get ready for the next round of sticky heat.
