Default Vintage Quorum, Paco Rabanne PH, Leonard PH question

I'm a huge fan of the vintage versions of Quorum, Paco Rabanne Pour Homme, and Leonard Pour Homme. They all give a similar vibe to me, which I totally dig! My question, just out of curiosity: Is there/Are there any current niche or indie fragrances that are similar? I know, it sounds like a ridiculous question, given that I have these vintage versions already, but I'm just wondering if any modern houses have made anything similar. I'm still pretty new to the "hobby" aspect of all this, thus my question. I have sampled Rogue Mousse Illuminee, but to me, it's not similar enough to the vintage ones I mentioned. Thanks for any insight.

I think Rogue Perfumes have a similar vibe. Maybe some of the others from that house. But nothing beats vintage.
FYI: I spray all fragrances on clothing, never on skin.

I've more or less given up on niche, as I find it's going in the opposite direction. That is, if you want depth, complexity, and lack of a "chemical" quality, you have to go vintage, IMO. The good news is that those fragrances should still be available on ebay, at least, and at reasonable prices (at least compared to current designer retail prices) - if you have some patience you might even be able to get a great deal! I would stay away from splash bottles unless the seller has a great reputation, though.

Bond No 9 Great Jones is similar to PR Pour Homme. While not the same as the others, Rogue Perfumery Mousse Illuminee is worth checking out for a heavy dose of oakmoss.

A couple from Nicolai are definitely in the same territory: New York Intense and Patchouli Intense.

Also Gallagher Fragrances' Evergreen Dream is a nod to 80s powerhouse fougeres.

And of course Patrick from Fragrances of Ireland.

Thanks for the suggestions. I was hesitant on even posting this thread because I figured I was already good to go with the vintage stuff.

I have yet to find anything that comes close to original Leonard PH or original Paco Rabanne PH.

Mousse Illuminee is all about spanish/treemoss. For a more warm 'vintage-ish' feel try the Chypre Siam, which is loaded with oakmoss. But if it's similar or even close I don't know.

I like Kiehl's Original Musk edt, even the current version, as arguably an upgrade on vintage Paco Rabanne Pour Homme.

I like Rogue, especially Chypre-Siam, but I don't care for Mousse Illuminee.

Patrick resembles well PRPH but is inferior in everything (i am talking in comparison to the vintage version not the current catastrophe of a perfume).
Current Quorum ist still great, very very close to the vintage.
I have never liked Leonard PH and never looked for something similar to it.
I don't think that New York Intense is in the same territory with any of the above mentioned.
I always think at PPH and BdP when i wear New York Intense.

Making news this morning. I'm pretty sure I haven't tried any versions of Quorum or Leonard.

You would be surprised if you knew what I don’t like. LPH was from the start one of this group. Still is.

Trussardi Uomo and Van Cleef & Arpels Pour Homme are similar, at least in the vintage formulations.

Trussardi Uomo? I don’t find it similar to LPH. I agree that VARP is kind of similar.

I've tried the Chypre Siam and it's quite different. It doesn't quite work for me.

Nice to see someone that likes Kiehl's Original Musk - I dig it, and it works very well for me.

I can't say that I'm in agreement with you on the current quorum - but since it works for you, that's a good thing.

I like New York Intense, but agree that it's quite different than the 3 I mentioned.
