Default Help me out to round my very small collection please :)

Hey guys, long time lurker, hope you are doing great. I'm going to list my actual collection, can you give me some advice and recommendations to get my mini collection more rounded or equilibrated and pointing what should I get for a year round (seasonal) selection? So far I have:

Le Male JPG 125 ml 2019 Puig

    Dior Fahrenheit 200 ml

    AMEN Mugler 100 ml

    Nautica Voyage 100 ml

ADG 50 ml (half bottle left)

    ADG Profumo 125 ml

    Bogart Pour Homme 100 ml

Pure XS Night (was a gift, not so much left and doesnt last on me)

CH Privee (another gift, not so much left, doesnt last a lot on me)

    Terre D' Hermes

Most of them are almost full, but I would appreciate some input and recommendations about my fragrances.

Thank you very much, this forum is great and full of great people.

    Welcome!

I would suggest Thierry Mugler Pure Malt, Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche, and Creed Green Irish Tweed.

Thank you very much for your responses! I really like Burrberry London and Pure Male, in my country Green irish tweed its quite expensive (I live In Argentina). I will try to get versión of Allure, it seems very promising!

What do you think about the selection I have right now? What I'm missing or its not so well balanced as a whole? Generally speaking I buy what I like without thinking so much about the season, but im trying to balance things out.

Thank you again guys, you are great!

Maybe some sharp spicy and woody frags like...

Gucci Pour Homme (hard to find, someone else can maybe suggest something else)
    Dirty English
    Encre Noir

You already have loud fragrances like le male and angel, how about something softer and way sexier ?

    The One (Edt or EDP)
    Givenchy Xeryus Rouge
    Davao City Fraghead

Thank you very much for your kind responses!

So far, Patrick has never been sold On my country

I will try to get a vial or a sample of The One and Givenchy Xeryus Rouge, the latter seems like a fragrance that I would really like seeing the notes

Burberry London, Pure Malt and Chanel Allure blanche are already on my to-buy list

How its the sillage and longevity on the Givenchy and Allure? Since I have really dry skin, I tend to go sometimes louder, but it dependes, the Le Male 2019 by Puig Made in France that I have lasts a lot on me, like 8-9 hours and some on my skin.

You’ve got a pretty decent summer mix there with some depth for colder days All of the prior recommendations are very strong. A few more I’d recommend:

    Montblanc Legend
    Guerlain Vetiver
    Kiton Men
    Mugler Cologne
    Dunhill Icon

Thank you! There is so much goodness there, I finished my Sauvage Parfum 2016 a couple weeks ago, but I'm not sure if I was 100 % sold On that. At the first months of use i loved it, then It bored me a little. I have to try Egoiste and Azzaro PH since those are fragrances that always caught my attention! Also the Anteus, I head that is a powerhouse (which I love!). In my country there are only a fistful selection of the Guerlain line, but Im going to look for it! Heritage Edt is amazing the lalique one isnt sold here

Bel Ami would fit in there for a leather fix.

It's pretty well rounded as is, IMO. But you could always add a leather, a tobacco, or maybe another citrusy scent to expand things out a bit more.

I like the Green Irish Tweed suggestions, but too expensive/hard to get?
    Try:
    POLO Ralph Lauren
    The One EDP
    Eau Sauvage Parfum
    Gucci Guilty Absolute

Nono, I have tried it and love it! But it was kinda expensive, so today I passed by the same Shop and It was 50 percent off! about 60 bucks the 150 ml bottle (in my country that parfum is about 130 dollar)

I did so and was happy Most people will like this kind of structure, so it's a pretty safe pick. Similarly, if you like Fahrenheit, it's a pretty safe bet you'll like Kiton Men.

From the suggestions above Dior's Eau Sauvage Parfum and Guerlain's L'Homme Eau Boisee have some really lovely citrus. Dunhill Icon also has a nice touch of bergamot, but to be honest it's more focused around neroli.

Lalique Encre Noir Sport also has a lovely grapefruit note in the opening and is incredible value.

Eau Sauvage Eau de Toilette is the classic citric chypre, and while it lacks the staying power of the parfum, the opening burst of lemon is just glorious.

I have always liked fragrances, I remember the 1st time smelling Opium on a woman in the late 70's, or maybe 80, 81. I was in a elevator in Hong Kong and was 9 or 10 yrs old and asked the lady what she was wearing......funny I never forgot Opium. In high school in the late 80's I had the usual Polo Green, Dakkar, the original Dior Sauvage, the gave the Sauvage out in the business class toiletries bag United Airlines had. My father brought them home all the time and I had a unlimited supply lol......later I had cool water and of course in the 2000's had several CK scents......Last yr I went crazy and picked up about 50 fragrances......I agree with suggestions so far, all fragrances I have and like, Burrberry London, Dirty English, D&G The One, the modern Eau Sauvage, Guerlain L’Instant De Guerlain, Guerlain Heritage EDT, Armani Code, they are all nice scents.....something along the lines of Polo Green IMO is Ungaro III.......Rochas Homme EDT has a very bright lemon top, like lemon pledge but it calms down and is a nice clean scent. CK Truth is clean as well.....

A personal fav that's cheap online is Montblanc Presence, I absolutely love it for the money.....has a ambery base but not too strong.....Legend and individual are nice as well and cheap online. Another Fav is YSL La Nuit De L'Homme.....I went a little crazy on the amber/oriental scents, Givenchy Pi, less ambery more vanilla, Baldessarini Ambre, YSL Body Kouros, CK Obsession, Prada amber, Guerlain Habit rouge, Lolita Lamkpeka.....there are a lot more but I would say at this point redundant....

    Rochas Man
    Azzaro pour Homme l'Eau

I think you need something Tom Ford, my skin get an excellent natural leather and wood from Oud Wood, for leather overdose you got Ombre Leather and for something interesting also try unisex, Tom Ford Eau de Soleil Blanc unfolds in interesting ways.
This is a start, later you can add new dimensions by exploring other directions, Tom Ford is something you need to visit sooner or later, why not now?
Good to hear you had enough of sauvage, i still think it got a natural place in a collection but for me its not useful, i cant enjoy the synthetic strong notes that gets worse during dry-down.

Hey guys! Thank you very much for your suggestions. I almost forgot about this thread! Besides Gucci Guilty Absolut, I added to my little collection Dior Homme Intense 2019 batch 9G01. Fantástic smell, great longevity (10 hs On my skin so far). I guess I will have to buy L Eau D Issey, but summer fragrances doesnt last much on my dry skin and Im a heavy smoker. So I rely a lot on heavy scents that goes along with the smoke lol. I have a curiosity, On my city theres a Huge discount on davidoff coolwater, how its the longevity nowdays? Its like 20 bucks the 125 ml bottle

Last time I wore Cool Water was around 2010 and the longevity was more than fine. If you like that general style and price point, personally I’d say you’re fine with your current bottle of Voyage... but hell, everyone needs at least one bottle of Cool Water in their life

Exactly my friend! I know maybe its a sin but never used cool water ha ha, maybe they reformulated even further since 2010, but its dirty cheap here. I mean, as a daily wearer cool water seems like a no frills option that would serve me. Voyage is great! And cheaper here than cool water. I think right know im comfortably with what I have, a cyprhe fragrance for winter, daily would be great if you have any cheap recommendations for a long lasting cyprhe please let me know my friend. So far I use Bogart PH for daily driver On winter days (not night).

I will say that every recommendation has been great and you guys are great for helping out a brother with this

Kind of in that vein...Vera Wang for Men. Definitely cheap and long lasting, technically just a chypre (due to use of a small amount of "treemoss" in the base), but probably more accurately described as a tobacco semi-oriental with chypre elements. For cold weather, it's a knockout and it's far better than its price point might suggest.

Unfortunately these days there are very few true chypres in production, because the accord relies very heavily on oakmoss, which has effectively been omitted from significant usage since 2010. The question I'd ask to help guide you is which elements of the chypre genre are you looking for?

If you'd like something resinous or woody that incorporates patchouli and/or and a citrus top, there are some great options. The winter go to I'd recommend is Eau Sauvage Parfum. It's not cheap, but it's truly excellent.
