I'm wearing La Petite Robe Noire Black Perfecto EDP by Guerlain. This is the first day of wearing this scent in my mini perfume project where I wear the same scent for 3 days in a row.

    Have a good day!

Thumbs up Re: SOTD: Wednesday, 22nd January, 2020

Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."

This is what I’ve been doing more frequently lately - three days or more. It’s a good practice to get to know individual fragrances in greater depth.
Note to self: Choose being kind over being right, and you’ll be right every time.

    Chanel Jersey EDP

This is a sample I got from kotori long ago (many thanks! ). The sample is running low, so I want to indulge and really get to know it - not just "sniff and ponder" - and then maybe review it if the mood strikes me. Finish the sample and leave a strong memory.

It's funny how the scent now brings back my first sniff, first wear, and almost buy in Las Vegas. It takes me right back to that evening. Very uncanny.

Supposedly it's a feminized lavender, which beats YSL Libre by a few years, but I'm sure there were many others before. The lightly floral nature is easy-going and somewhat unisex. It's not really "me", but perhaps in another world where I was more laid back and refined, it would be.

It's a very pleasant and enjoyable scent - relaxed and relaxing.

Will I ever get it? Jersey tells me I don't have to decide. Just enjoy it now.

Thank you very much! Chrome wasn't from the fragrance, but I started BN before I was really a fragrance collector (I had a mere two fragrances and was just starting my collection and wanting to branch out to more!) 24 Faubourg is the closest thing to a signature scent that I have. I do love all my fragrances, and it's always hard to pick a favorite, but 24FB is the one that just feels 100% "me". I can throw it on for everyday wear without having to really think about it.

    Hello!
CuddleCat, good luck with your new perfume project!

Redneck Perfumisto, I loved your description of Jersey and the feelings it evoked.

It's very warm today, +4 C and raining. Raining. On January! I don't remember a warmer winter. Though we usually get several weeks of -20s in February, we'll see how it is this year.

Wearing Frescaessenza by L'Erbolario today, I thought this will be my last wear, but nope. I'll wear it next Wednesday again.

    Have a great day!

We have another dull, drizzly morning here and I will have
to force myself to do some light walking on this sore heel
today, before I put on too much excess weight! It's ok once I get my
shoes with inserts on but I am still very lame first thing despite all
    the exercises.

I wore Terre de Lumiere to bed last night and wil wear it again
this morning for it's sweet lavender/honey feel.

    Morning all!

More healing hugs going out to kewart.

lt's cloudy here but still cold. l'm planning to clean some more windows today, & wearing Morah, from my sample. l'm getting more of the floral notes in this one this time around; perhaps the cooler temps bring them out.

    Hi, folks -

    Even more hugs to kewart.

Spent yesterday feeling generally off-kilter and sick with a nasty cold (seems to be my turn), but when I got home from work, what a lovely surprise, a fresh sample of my "love-this-and-know-my-sample-is-SOMEWHERE-but-damned-if-I-can-find-it-right-now-it-must-be-on-walkabout" fragrance, Dasein Winter, thanks to an incredibly generous BN-er! So, obviously that needed to be my SOTD. Makes me feel like I may be turning the corner on this cold already.

Wishing everyone a warm (but not hot, for those of you in the opposite hemisphere to me) and wonderful Wednesday!

Winter fragrance notes: Blue spruce, Pine, Black cardamom, French lavender.
It’s thought that people who hope too much will just waste their life away and never get down to doing any real work. They’re confusing Hope with Wish, its lazy cousin... When Wish whispers, “Something is just around the corner,” what comes or not is never what was wished for. When Hope whispers “Something is just around the corner,” something always is. -- Charlie Elberson

Wearing my own Under the Shade of Santal today which is a combination of Santal Album Sandalwood from Mysore and Australia...lots of cinnamon bark, rose, ambrette and lime. Deep, dark, shapeshifting woods

I had a rough go at sleeping last night...Once I finally fall asleep I had a very weird dream that involved me joining the Air Force...and this long distance girl that I used to be in love with in my early-mid-20s being in my recruiting class and completely ignoring me. WHAT the F?!?! I seriously wonder how your brain can string some of these things together? I was looking at some posts last night on social media of various military planes doing a fly-by for the football games last weekend...and I haven't thought about the now..woman in my dreams in that capacity since I met my wife.

((Kewart)) Hang in there. I suspect there's no need to tell you to go slow, but ....go slow.

It's 19F/-7C here this morning after weeks of balmy spring weather. Gardening is on hold. My morning emergency: out of half and half. Once again the spectre of pj's at the grocery store rears it's ugly head.

R.I.P, Terry Jones, and thanks for yuks.

ComDiva, say no to the flu/cold! (Lovely use of a herniating hyphenated modifier in that sentence up there, BTW.)

Burrrr, Ryan. Your flatland exposure sounds miserable, and you're making me appreciate how we're not only tucked in a valley, but have a hill immediately to the W/NW.
I can out-weird your dream, R. Last night I had to repeatedly seduce Putin across a line and out of a Soviet zone into a place where there was a collection of perfumes in order to trap him for some reason. Have a go at that one, psychology majors.

Neat post, Redneck. I think we all can relate to your thought processes.

Never one to pass up a bad joke: The name 24 Faubourg is a real upgrade from Chrome!

Scanning in Rose Flash cuz I thought it'd been too long since I wore a floral, but I should have stuck with the snuggly chocolate, vanilla or coffee category in this cold weather.
