Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."

Went out my backdoor yesterday to see a possum sitting there on the patio. He was actually cute - I normally think these critters are ugly. I started talking to him. He scurried away, leaving cute footprints in the leftover snow. I don't see possums in the daylight very often.

It's been snowing, and it finally looks like winter. This is a low-quality, tablet quickie I shot just now at barely dawntime. Mr. Q is sitting in his tree stand, out of view but a short distance beyond this pair of oaks for this final weekend of bowhunting. It's magically beautiful out there and I'd like to go out with the dslr and tripod, but Day-Z doesn't like to be left inside alone, and she'd spoil the hunting environment if she went out with me.

I rarely repeat, but the Guerlain With Love is working for me.

Be well, avoid any of the viruses out there, and find something to look forward to for your mental health, my fragrant friends.

Beautiful pic, Ms. Q.! Independent of you (and I also don't often repeat), I'm giving Septamanie Perfumes Pavillon des Fleurs its own full wearing today.

I'm going to have to try this again when I don't have a cold - I'm only getting episodic whiffs of sweet jasmine-ylang and sharp iris, and I can't tell if the usual 'funereal' browning/wilting that most jasmine notes typically do on my skin is happening here. Still, no one has moved away from me in distaste - yet. So maybe it's okay, at least at the moment.

    Spectacular Saturday, all!

Pavillon des Fleurs fragrance notes: Jasmine, ylang ylang, orange blossom, English leather, iris and lily of the valley.

Wow, I'm not sure I've EVER seen a possum in the daytime, although we have visitor who comes through our cat door nightly.

What a coincidence -- just yesterday I saw my first daytime possum too. Scooted across the street right in front of me at noontime.

We have a huge albino possum that comes to inspect our back porch nightly for food scraps. I'll bet he weighs 30 pounds.

Funny, possum thread. I had to google ...

Are possums out in the daytime?
Opossums are generally nocturnal, foraging throughout the night. But it is not at all unusual to see an opossum out during the daytime, especially during cold weather. They also can be seen in the day when food is scarce or when they have been disturbed from their sleeping quarters.
