Going to be a blank day for me! I’m going fragrance shopping at this boutique that hosts many niche brands and want to be able to skin test.

Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. Hello everyone!

I'm working from home today and making quite a lot of rest breaks as I'm still not feeling that well. But yesterday I made a full pot of chicken and vegetable soup so I have enough for today and maybe even tomorrow, and I keep drinking ungodly amounts of hot beverages and indulging in gourmand fragrances, and all these things are making me feel much better. I woke up with a delicious hint of yesterday's Lait et Chocolat so there was no other option than to just top it off a bit to extend the soft deliciousness.

Jon, thank you for your concern! My throat is actually feeling very good today. I hope everything else gets well soon, too.

24 Faubourg, good luck in your perfume hunt today!
Please do share your finds and your overall impression on Cloud, too!

teardrop, how was your shopping and hairdresser yesterday?

And everyone, stay away from bacterias and viruses!

I hope so too. There's a book fair next week and I'll have to be up on my feet and working from Wednesday to Sunday, so I'm doing everything I can to recover quickly AND not spread my illness on my colleagues who also have to be on their best form next week.

Glad to hear your throat is getting better ClockworkAlice. Let's
hope the rest follows and heals too.

Enjoy your testing day Faubourg24. Let us know how you got on.

My heel is still bothering me but I have almost got used to the pain and am
soldiering on. I find lots of stretching followed by resting and icing helps.

Thank you all! I hope to come home with some new things tomorrow. I've been making up for not buying anything but gifts for others last year pretty heavily so far this year.

As for Cloud, I can't say I tested many other celebrity scents to compare but it was better than I thought it would be. Of course you can't compare it to something created by niche houses but I found myself really enjoying the dry down. The initial top notes were very sweet, would be nice for someone younger or if you really love sweet gourmands. I've been recently getting more and more into gourmands myself, this definitely errs on the sweet side in opening, but dries down to something muskier and cozy. Honestly seems like a great scent for me to wear at nights before bed. My main gripe with it is it does not have great longevity at all, but for whatever reason my skin has a hard time holding onto fragrance. It isn't anosmia because other people have a hard time too, sometimes even with powerhouse fragrances. It's a fun little fragrance for what it is, you can't expect a masterpiece or anything, but the drydown is quite nice. Exactly what I'd look for in a bedtime scent like I said.

I want to do another test of it and a comparison test between it and BR540. They are very different, but I can see similar elements in the dry down.

    Morning all!

ClockworkAlice, sounds like you're looking after yourself very well! The haircut is great thanks, l've gone back to an asymmetric style, very short on one side with a sweeping fringe down the other side. My stylist is a very good friend of mine, & we had fun catching up while she worked. l took a wander around TK Maxx, & picked up another back-up bottle of Stash, a bottle of Alyssa Ashley Musk EDT which included mini bottles of Musk & White Musk perfume oils, & an adorable pair of egg-shaped Florentine soaps scented with violet.

l'm back to work on the late shift today, & hoping none of my patients will bring any viruses in with them. Wearing Sheer Obsession on this bright, cold day.

Healing (heeling?) vibes to ClockworkAlice and Kewart and anyone else in need. (Kewart, do you have access to a product called BioFreeze? It's a topical gel that provides nice numbing effect without making one smell too much of menthol. ) And 24 Fabourg, I hope your perfume adventure continues to go well!

SOTD is Paloma Picasso Mon Parfum, which I haven't worn in ages and ages. It's still good, and is working for me today.

    Wickedly wondrous Wednesday to everyone!

Thank you for your get well wishes, teardrop, ComDiva, HoP and kewart! I can already feel I'm starting to get better!

Kewart, it's good to hear that you at least accommodated a bit to the hurting heel, but I hope it heals as soon as possible. Having to deal with pain on every step is, of course, very fairytale-like (think of Ariel the mermaid), but still very uncomfortable.

teardrop, congrats on the new cut and great finds! I don't seem to find Stash anywhere around here. I'd like to try it out. I wasn't swayed by SJP's NYC, but I did like her Lovely.

24 Faubourg, thank you for your detailed impression on Cloud! It was very interesting to read. I'm glad you liked it and that it will become a nice bedtime scent.

I changed into Black Opium after shower. I'm kinda sad to see my nose slightly changing as it doesn't bring me as much joy anymore as it did 2 years ago. I still like the coffee in it, but now I find myself thinking how I'd like to modify it to make the top notes less fruity and screechy.

    Have a lovely day all!

I'm wearing Heritage today. Some trees are starting to blossom around here this week.

Like teardrop, I'm getting a haircut today. I'm in the mood to make a change: either layer my long hair or go.back to a shorter bob. I dunno...
