Default Friend coming to Nicaragua, can bring me Fahrenheit EDT OR Caron Pour Un Homme

I know they are completely different scents, was hoping for some input to help me make my decision. Never worn or owned either....

I have the feeling Fahrenheit is more of a "going out" scent while the Caron is more of a daily anytime any place scent?

Perhaps I can wing it to get her to bring both...?

    Thx

Fahrenheit EDT all day long. Its unique in the best way possible and it was created in the 1980s which is a decade where many creations were of that time and can feel dated to non-perfumistas. This however has stood the test of time and more impressively that time. Its one of the few fragrances I call truly timeless.

Never been keen on Pour un Homme.

I’m also with the Sheik on this. Pour un Homme is a sweet lavender and vanilla scent, sublime for those who are into that sort of thing, boring and/or cloying for those who aren’t. I’m one of the latter group. My top Caron masculine remains Le 3ème Homme.

    Fahrenheit. So, sooo Fahrenheit.

Ok. I am allowed two purchases. Fahrenheit costs around $78 ... In my current situation, that represents the "luxury" purchase. That leaves me $35 for another one.

Would do you think would pair well with my Fahrenheit. ? Perhaps Paco Rabanne?

Im not sure. Others will have better answers for that. I havent tried the Paco, but I think it will not be similar, id also be worried about older fragrances, and worried about reformulation rhere, considering the Azzaro fiasco. My first thought was a Guerlain, perhaps Heritage, but idk.

$78 in what currency? Different country, selection, prices and availability may vary. But seems kinda high.

The current Paco Rabanne isn't really up to par. Can't think of much for $35. I stopped recently at Marshalls and TJMaxx (discounters) but didn't see anything of relevance.

I personally would recommend Pour Un Homme. I've tried (a lot!) with Fahrenheit, but he violet puts me off.

Pour Un Homme is also a classic. It's more understated and the lavendar / vanilla has a soothing gentlemanly vibe - classic. I've found the key is to not over-apply.

I personally prefer the Caron, but both are good and I think Fahrenheit would wear better in your climate.

Regarding something ~$35 to go with it...Bogart Signature is in the same style as Paco Rabanne PH and easily under $35.

thanks all , great replies, I saw 100ml in Frag net for $78 but have been offered a 200ml Fahrenheit EDT which is 99% full for $80, by a member.

Not sure how to go ahead.

I paid retail. Im a Dior sucker. MFK and Dior are my only full retail. Otherwise fragrancenet is tops. This tester appears to have a cap, so just no box. I think if you are not reasonably able to spot fakes that buying second hand is risky.

It depends on the coupon. Your coupon is 30%, probably because you went straight to the site. To get the maximum discount 37%, do a google search for Dior Fahrenheit and look in google shopping. If you see it listed from FragranceNet click on the link to their website and you will get the 37% discount. All links going through google shopping to Fragrancenet will bring you the 37% discount instead of the normal 30%.

    Hope that helps

My vote - Fahrenheit. Got a tester from fragrancenet with no problems, came with a cap.

Whichever you like best, ideally both-while likelier to personally recommend Caron pour un Homme, both of these offer good to great value for their price plus decent versatility as going out and also as day to day options

Fahrenheit's nice but it was quite popular. My woman described it as average guy in the street scent and I can see what she means, even though I still like and wear it every now and then. The Caron is a timeless gentleman's scent, even though I'm slightly less excited about it these days.

Neither. Can’t you get both easy where you live? Seems like a wasted use of scent mule for such pedestrian frags.
