    Default Twisted Lily Closing

I got this information from Reddit. There's 30% off regular priced items and a bunch of other perfumes already marked down. :'(

It was a little peculiar how they weren't restocking anything. I always loved Twisted Lily because they'd give you an extra random sample with your order--usually something thoughtful

Sad to hear this. Lovely store with helpful staff I also wondered if the low stocks and the frequent sales meant the end was near,

I ordered an Imaginary Authors spray from there on the 17th and they had multiple from the line, now they have nothing from the line. I wonder if i should order what I'm looking at now, or if they'll do another discount code in a couple days.

Edit: ordered what I wanted since it could disappear like Imaginary Authors did.

Sad news. The owner (Eric) is a knowledgeable person and has one of the best smaller shops in NY. Great selection and the Customer Service is great. If I get a chance, I will have to stop by. Thanks for the info.

That's very sad, since it's within walking distance (well, a long walk) from my house. It was a particularly great store to sniff around, since everything is accessible. I prefer shopping Lucky Scent online, but Twisted Lily was my favorite to visit.

I, too, wondered about the lack of stock. I just picked up by DS by DS & Durga (which is normally astronomically expensive) for about 45% off, and wondered how that was logical if not for a move like this...

Is this the location in Brooklyn (Downtown Brooklyn)? The reason I remember his name is because his father and myself have the same first name.

I'm very sad about this. I have been collecting fragrance for a few years now but only recently made it out here despite living in NYC because Brooklyn always feels like a trek. I fell in love with this shop and am sad to see it go right after I finally made it here.

Unfortunate news; I paid a visit earlier this eve to wish them well on their next venture(s).

Picked up Brooklyn Perfume Co. Ambergris.

Great store over the years. Thanks.

Not surprised by this at all. I bought a lot of samples back in 2016/17. Held a number of samples that included samples from them.

I'm glad I was able to go one last time in November last year (when I bought Brooklyn Perfume Co's Oud + I got to meet in person the owners of ELDO who were in-store).

That's too bad. I was just in NYC and meant to stop by their shop but got the flu instead so I didn't have the chance to stop by. It was also a bit out of the way as I was visiting my sister and her family in mid-town

I went there today and the sale is fantastic. Really lovely people at this shop. I will miss it, but I'm glad I got to catch them on the tail end, even if I hadn't gone here until recently despite being into fragrances for years now...

Not a big surprise, since their online inventory has been shrinking for some time now, and their volume of sales and "specials" have continued to grow. But nonetheless sad. I've been purchasing from Twisted Lily, as well as their sister company Parufm1, for the past ten years. Lots of excellent purchases, and they will be missed.

Twisted Lily is somewhere I never had a chance to visit when I lived on the east coast. Sad to see them go. There aren't enough shops like this in the US overall. Everything is dominated by chains and department stores, with shelf space "bought" by the big brands. It makes testing niche almost impossible outside the big commercial names.

We have a small shop here in Seattle called Parfumerie Nasreen, and they do online orders too for those not local to the PNW. Similar selection to Twisted Lily and have their own artisinal attar line even. I'm a frequent haunt there and friends with the owner. Worth checking out.

I purchased a few times years back from them by phone and was satisfied. Isn't their business located within a hotel or some other building?

Yep! It's inside the Alexis hotel on 1st Avenue, a few blocks down the hill from Pike Place market. I discovered it by walking past it on my way to work.
