New York Intense for me by far.

Floris 1962 is ok ... I like the green opening but something in the dry-down puts me off, a note that smells like varnished wooden furniture. I'd suggest Vert des Bois as something in similar vein, green with aromatic nuances, but a wonderful suave dry-down.

New York Intense is quite different in terms of scent profile, but other than that, it is completely on a different level to 1962 or 99% of other perfumes. I gave it a rare 5/5, and in my opinion it is the best 'masculine' release of the last decade. Right up there with Patou pour Homme, vintage Derby, Heritage – or you name it.

Personally prefer 1962. Lovely cypress & spearmint note running through the fragrance. I find it more refreshing.

I never tried the Floris. However I think regular New York is just as good as the intense. In fact I think the regular may be a little better.

I have and really enjoy both, but for me, just the regular New York. I just prefer it to the Intense.

To me, New York seems to be a little more formal scent than 1962.

New york intense is a better scent. But also more dated/formal/old school... which is why many would prefer floris

Both are amazing & equal to me.
Funny thing is I’ve gone to my local boutique several times to pick these both up together, but always end up leaving with something else.
    Go figure!

    Thank you all, guys.

It seems to me that there is a preference for De Nicolai.

I've only smelled 1962 and it's a masterpiece imo. On my wishlist.
