Default Need Help: Pointing Future Directions for my Collection

Guys, I have just uploaded the bulk of my collection at the Basenotes Wardrobe. I did it from memory, so some of my stuff is still not there. But the ones that are there do represent well what I have. I need to choose new directions for my collection and would love to receive suggestions on what to sample. Please help!

I think your wardrobe is already well rounded.

Tell me something I should sample, at least. There must be something. I tend to be adventurous.

Just buy what you want and like.

Stop worrying about what you "should" have.

I would recommend adding a few more vintage classic fragrances. That direction is certainly worth exploring.

Chanel Egoiste, Guerlain Heritage and Derby for instance.

He has stated in another thread that he doesn't like Egoiste at all. Not sure about the others.

Would personally add very little to a collection already diverse, well stocked and versatile in multiple fascinating ways.

However, if having to add and mention at least one scent recommendation, would most likely include more noticeable tobacco choices like AMen Pure Havane and/or Aramis Havana, while Bogart Signature for a more green, leathery mossy unsmoked tobacco note.

Maybe also a fine and good value for money lavender, along the lines of l'Occitan, Endymion EDC and Caron pour un Homme.

    Very good and varied collection.

Off the top of my head,a couple of directions. I don't see any Etat Libre d'Orange or Parfums de Nicolai, two houses I like a lot. Examples would be Etat Libre d'Orange Rien (butch leather) and PdN New York Intense (classic citrus-woods).

Also, you could add classic things marketed to women (Guerlain, Chanel, and others).

What a nice collection. Have you tried Serge Lutens' Santal Majuscule and L'Eau Froide perhaps?

Guys, thanks so much for the suggestions I've got so far.

N.CAL Fragrance Reviewer: Will definitely try Derby; I've never sampled it. Will try to find the vintage juice. The other two I already know.
Ken Russell: Will try Bogart Signature. I already have L'Occitan, I just forgot to add it to my wardrobe. I also had more virginal lavenders, such as english lavender and Yardley's, but I gave them to my aunt because she loves them.
Casio: Will definitely sample Rien and New York Intense. I have already tried a few "female" guerlains and chanels, but need to try more of them.

I haven't tried Majuscule because I have problems with cocoa/chocolate notes. Will try to sample L'Eau Froide!

I can see you have Shalimar EdP in your collection. If you like that, L'Eau de Shalimar and Shalimar EdT are very good and a tad fresher / masculine if that is a concern. Also, Etat Libre d'Orange's Fils de Dieu du riz et des agrumes is another take on Shalimar with an 'Asian' twist if you could call it that, and it also never fails to put a smile on my face. It's an amazing fragrance in the way that it recalls Shalimar, yet does it's own unique thing.

In terms of Chanel, I'm not a huge fan of the brand, but one of my most treasured bottles in my collection is Bois des Iles Parfum. I could wax lyrical about this fragrance, but you should simply try it when you get a chance. It's rather different to the EdP in the spray bottle.

Santal Majuscule doesn't have an outright cocoa note, but it is there. It's not very sweet, and acts as a support to the woody notes. L'Eau Froide is a very fresh take on frankincense, ideal for summer.

You have a great collection Andrei, seriously. Hmm... I would explore some of the better indie niche stuff.
Check out some of these houses if you haven’t already:
    - UNUM
    - Ensar Oud
    - Bogue
    - Areej Le Dore
    - Rogue perfumery
    - Bortnikoff

Guerlain has a pretty massive catalog with some really unique stuff, particularly in their more exclusive lines & vintage. It’s definitely worth digging deeper into, imo.
Check out this blog for vintage guerlain info- http://www.kafkaesqueblog.com/2016/1...part-1-parfum/
