Lightbulb Your pick for a warm and spicy niche fragrance

    Hi everyone,

I know... Second thread in a week. Hope I'm not over-flooding
I've recently asked for suggestion for Fall niche fragrances that goes along my other frag "Chergui" and got a lot of responses (link below). I'm about to order a lot of suggestions but, while researching, I thought that i actually could use Chergui as my signature fall/winter fragrance since I find it easy to wear, comforting but not too sweet or in your face.

This was particularly true after a niche store owner gave me some suggestions to go along my frag for the colder weather. It was Un crime Exotique by Pierre Guillaume, and a Thameen (forgot the name, but it had a lot of leather). The former grew on me (the latter was too expensive) but i couldn't see myself wearing it outside cold day or holidays.

To make it short! Do you have some suggestions for the cold days and for the holiday, something warm and comforting (more on the spicy side) in the spirit of Un Crime Exotique or Five o' clock au Gingembre (tried it too, liked it)?

I've already in my list for samples the followings (a lot intended for fall):

    Lubin - Idole de Lubin
    Frapin 1270
Oriza Legrand - Vetiver Royal Bourbon
Tauer - Air du Desert Marocain
Artisan Parfumeur - Tea for two
    Parfums d'Empire - Ambre russe
Patricia de Nicolai - New york/cashmere and Patchouli intense

I'm NOT too keen on sharp Vanillas (but I do enjoy round or close to skin ones) or smokey fragrances (I didn't like too much the much loved Replica - By the fireplace). I'm also not too fond of overly sweet fragrances (The only fragrance i know that i can give you as example if is You by Armani, Yuk)
Finally, I do not want to spend more than 220$ (200euros) for a 100ml (3.3 oz) or 175$ for 50ml. So the Creed, PdM, Nasomatto, By Killian that i've heard some much of seem out of reach...

Hope I don't come up as too difficult... But I always was picky

Thanks a lot in advance, you're an awesome community!

Perhaps Oajan by Parfums De Marly

    Turkish Leather and it’s successor

    Noir Epices by Frederic Malle
FYI: I spray all fragrances on clothing, never on skin.

Almost any Frapin in the thread starting post is already a good choice, but also adding Endymion EDC and Opus 1870 by Penhaligon's, Fate Man by Amouage, Siwa by Memo Paris (the vanilla being subtle in each of these latter two, so definitely not heady nor even very obvious), Akkad by Lubin but at least equally worthy to loon into Idole already included on the sampling list

I am guessing you are thinking of Regent Leather? That is a personal favorite of mine.

Very good choices. In PdN, note you need New York Intense (that's the one with the gourmandish, warm facet). Adding also a couple of Histoires de Parfums like Ambre 114 or 1740.

2007 formulation Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille for vanilla

As for less vanilla perhaps Guerlain Tonka Imperiale, Dior Feve Delicieuse, Chanel Coromandel, Frederic Malle Musc Ravageur.

+1 on Egoiste and Musc Ravageur. Between them, these are among the best in terms of warm spices.

Do also try Spezie by Villoresi.

Amouage Fate for Men, definitely. (There's a little bit of subtle sweetness but it's balanced out by the spicy and woody notes).

Wahou so many feedbacks thank you!
    Quick recap of your suggestions

.Noires Epices by F. Malle and Siwa by Memo: Couldn't fnd good price, way over my budget...

.Musc ravageur: Was suggested a lot, i'll have to try it again. The first time i tried it (a year ago?) i found it too strong/overwhelming

.Tonka Impériale, Double Vanille, Fève Délicieuse, Ambre Narguile, Coromandel, Turkish leather and Starlight by Xerjoff: I unfortunatly don't find them at all, not to sample nor to buy

I did add the followings into my list of samples to buy!
    Oajan by PdM
Fate-Amouage (wasn't a big fan of dia man)
    Spezie by Villerosi
    Egoiste
    Supreme oud (by Polo right?)
    HdP 114 and 1740
    Montale Honey Aoud
    Akkad by Lubin
