Default No better time than now to wear - perfumes you couldn't/wouldn't wear to work

As I posted in the past people at work have been vocal about certain perfumes I wear at work. Now that I've been home for almost a month - started with surgery recovery and now self-isolation with the fam - I've been having fun bringing out perfumes and wearing ones I wasn't allowed to at work and really applying heavy some others I was more reserved with. Today I brought out an old fav and it lifted my spirits and plan to do the same with others stored away too. While I would normally wear these perfumes at night or on the weekends, I've enjoyed wearing them daily instead of special occasions.

That's a great idea. We need as much distraction as we can these days, and revisiting old favorites is always pleasant. Makes me want to do some sniffing sessions too...

What a wonderful way to spend time in isolation. Care to share which particular fragrance lifted you up? I think I’m well stocked up (in samples) should it becomes necessary I stay home for 2 weeks.

I wore six sprays of Salome on Wednesday, and I'm planning on wearing MKK, Absolue pour le Soir, Jasmin Full, MAAI, and Oajan this week. If people can't smell me from six feet away, I'm not wearing enough.

Awesome. BN-approved plan for ‘social distancing’ to slow down COVID-19 spread.

I'm having a stinking cold at the moment so no desire to wear fragrance, but have already fantasised about wearing a healthy dose of MKK. Trouble is that my partner, who's also at home, isn't a fan of most of my fumes... and definitely not MKK.

I’m bringing out the big guns too these days. The other day I ladled on Uninhibited and I swear I had wavy stink lines above my head.

haha, I tend to wear everything I own to work, including goaty ouds like Russian Oud, but I take this opportunity to spray with reckless abandon!

Already working from a home office before, 90-95%, if not even 99% of the time anyway before and for reasons completely unrelated to the current situation, looking forward to even more time and opportunity to wear even more of the scents one would less likely/not really wear to work

I still have to go to work. I don't want to go. I don't think it's safe to go to work, but I have to go until our government come to their senses and tells everyone to stay at home. Nothing will change for me, fragrance-wise.

Yes! Salome! MKK! Absolue pour le Soir! And MAAI! All great choices. I’ve added in The Lovers Tale, T Rex, HYDE, Oud Maximus, and a bunch of Attars. Though now I’m on the verge of driving my lady out of her mind. We’re in a one bedroom! Also worth mentioning Oudh Infini and Hyrax.

Edit: this afternoon I have a video meeting so I’ve shaved, dressed up and worn a clean office scent just to get a bit of the “old days” back.

Even for office hours??? I also teach (PhD student) and wear basically whatever I want to class, but seeing how it's hard enough already to get students to come by for office hours, I usually try to tone it down on those days.

Haha, from my PhD teaching days I remember some of my students not smelling all that rosey themselves, particularly on Friday mornings when attending my classes severely hung over/still slightly drunk. I guess I should have worn something super skanky; it could have discouraged them from turning up...

I generally wear what I want to work. I’m a Business English teacher and my clients are often intrigued by the fragrance I’m wearing (or too polite to say otherwise). However, we’ve just got though two weeks of lockdown here in Milan and I’ve had some complaints from my girlfriend about even the tamest of perfumes; including some that she wears herself. Totally understandable when living in a small city apartment. Back to sampling things on my forearm instead of a full wearing of stuff in my wardrobe. On our first day outside I’ll be wearing the dirtiest fragrance I can get my hands on (Maai I guess).

    I agree, this is a great life-hack. Thanks Kitty2Shoes!

When I go grocery shopping, despite the obvious necessary precautions of keeping a safe distances from other people during this pandemic, people in line are like right on top of you, practically breathing down your neck. Maybe wearing some of my stinkier cologne will help back people up.

All I got that will work is Aramis. Dammit, I should have kept my bottle of Jaguar for Men.

Two my husband bought for me: Guerlain's Peara Granita and Hermes Un Jardin Sur le Nil. Both gifts from my husband but because I'm a little bit nose blind with both perfumes I have to apply heavy in order to smell them. Next is Shalimar Soufflé. I don't know why I have to apply all three heavy in order to smell them, but my fam don't care!

I've been taking this same approach. I normally work from home but still often wear tamer stuff if I know I'll be out at some point. Now, all bets are off, and my vintage Drakkar Noir is having its moment in the sun.

I was planning on doing this but then I thought, what if wearing some super strong, offensive cologne causes the person behind me to sneeze and spread their germs? Or they start coughing because of the pungent sillage.
