    Default Vintage/discontinued Men's Cologne.....which one(s) would you most want to find ?

    Hi all,

I'm going a bit "Batty" stuck in the house.....ugggh. At any rate, I was wondering which Vintage and/or discontinued Men's Cologne would you most want to find ? There exist many vintage Colognes that I have NOT tried so, I think it might be a bit more difficult for me to say for sure what would be a "Holy Grail" find in that department.
Regarding Fragrances that I once owned and that I would love to find again would be (circa late 1990's early 2000's) MPG "Eau des Iles", Creed Millesime Tabarome and L'Artisan (Girl riding Tiger bottle) DZING! I have no doubt the more I sit here and ponder this question, the more Colognes that will come to mind. What say you ?

Eau Sauvage Parfum 2012 at a reasonable price I’d stock up, regretting not taking this one more seriously and holding onto the 3 bottles I had and buying more.

The unfortunate side-effect of this thread is it tells the eBay sharks who have Basenotes accounts what to keep priced high.

Bastards are already at it... Now if we can just get the houses to stop axing these beauties we’d be in excellent shape.

I would like Patou to manufacture the REAL Patou Pour Homme again, in its former glory. I have a full bottle of the vintage after shave and I know how gorgeous it is.

I would like Guerlain to manufacture Habit Rouge Eau de COLOGNE again, since it was the best of the line, the most complex, the most delicate, the most beautiful.

I would like Molyneux to manufacture the REAL Captain Molyneux again, in its former glory. It was completely changed and now it is another fragrance with no resemblance to the original.

About a decade or so ago there was a company called Scents Of Time that created ancient fragrances based on a ancient formula. One was called Ankh which was derived from famed Kyphi incense formula found at Edfu on the Nile or so they say. I always wanted to try the scent but for the short time it was available it was difficult to get hold of. Now it's nigh on impossible.

I enjoy both Patou bottles but sadly I can't get myself over the hump to purchase either one.

    Have you tried Vintage Tabarome?

Lots, including many of those mentioned, but my "grails" are Crown Perfumery Buckingham and Marquis, so I can complete my collection of Crown masculines.

Things like Patou pour Homme Privé and vaulted Creeds (e.g., vintage Tabarôme) are priced too insanely high for me to consider them seriously: I refuse to spend that much on principle. Beyond those unicorns, there's always something—given enough time and money, I could easily go "full Hednic"—but most of the vintages I've really wanted, I have.
