    Take care of yourself.

Teardrop, take care, too. Stay strong and healthy.

I'm wearing Verveine as a morning scent. I'll shower at noon and change into something else, not sure what yet.

Sending (( )) 's to Jon and all those getting used to this new "normal!"
It's so hard to adjust to a curtailement of social activities and regular routines.
All my usual hobbies and day to day activities have been stopped so I am reduced to
exercising once a day. Gardening and writing poetry will replace them for now.

I am wearing Seville a l'Aube again (winking to Teardrop.) There's just something
about this scent that has me hooked.

Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. Hello and best to everyone. ((((Jon)))) and everyone struggling to cope with the new normal, I’ll include myself in that group. I’m not liking this one bit but unfortunately I’ve got other things to worry about now. My husband came home last night feverish and achy. A remote consult determined he most likely has COVID. It would not be surprising given that, as a hospital facilities operations manager, he has been working seven days a week converting operating suites into COVID ICUs. Now he’s self quarantining for 14 days and was instructed to above all monitor his breathing. I’m worried sick for him and for my aged father who lives with us.

Perfume may seem unimportant to some at times like this, but not to me. I need it more now than ever. SOTD is Roberto Cavalli Nero Assoluto, an inexpensive gem that just smells good. No thinking required. Take care, all.

    Hi, gang!

Virtual hugs to Jon, teardrop, and anyone else in need of 'em! (I'm in that boat, too. ).

I've been *trying* to exercise at home - have some great videos for Bollywood-inspired Zumba from Bollyx.com that I highly recommend. Subscription gives you access to hundreds of video'd workouts. I haven't really been able to do the workouts, much, however, as I'm putting in 12-15 hour days, glued to my chair and working remotely.

Spritz and dash: Parfums Frederic Malle Iris Poudre for me today.

The outer package of my bottle is signed in silver Sharpie by Mr. Malle, from a promotional meet-and-greet he did years ago. I offered to let him autograph one of my pulse points. His response: (kind smile) "Oh, not with this pen."

Wishing all of us a weirdly wonderful Wednesday!

Iris Poudre fragrance notes: Bergamot, Orange, Rosewood, Ylang ylang, Carnation, Magnolia, Jasmine, Lily of the valley, Violetta-rose, Aldehydes, Iris, Musk, Amber, Vanilla, Sandalwood, Ebony.
It’s thought that people who hope too much will just waste their life away and never get down to doing any real work. They’re confusing Hope with Wish, its lazy cousin... Good morning, good smelling people of the world. Tdem, I am sorry your husband is suffering with this virus and hope he gets well quickly, and additionally hope that it gives him immunity for the rest of the seasonal run of this, assuming it's seasonal.

I am working at home, and all week it has been Mure et Musc Extreme. I am happy to still have a job, we are an industry very much slammed by the quarantine rules and will lose half a year of revenue, it looks like. Husband is in a more recession proof industry but just took a lower paying job with better long term prospects, so the timing of this is not ideal for our little household economy, but not as bad as many.

tdem1961 - BIG HUGS. Try to stay in the Now as much as you can. It doesn't sound easy (it isn't) but your thoughts (or overthinking) are probably not a good idea now. Perhaps the current moment Now isn't making you happy but allow it to bring you peace. Please post here as much as you can and let us know about your husband's health, yours and your father's. I wish I was there in person to help you.

Tdem, that is rough. My sincere wishes that you and your family can stay strong and get through it. This is going to be a tough time for New York.

I'm very glad to still have the distraction of work, since my job doesn't involve close interaction with anyone. And I've decided this is a time to enjoy some of my usually-rationed vintage scents. No time like the present.

I can’t see the back of the box but an additional advantage to vintage Dior cologne is it should say 90% (alcohol) on the back. I just checked my similar bottle of Diorissimo. Very timely!

Thank you to those members on here in the health field or having family members in it. It is more brave than I could be to be out there. Wishing the best to tdem and everyone.

Today I cracked open and applied with abandon Chanel Allure Parfum. Take that—you nasty coronavirus!!!

    (((Tdem, Jon, Teardrop))) and (((everybody)))

It's frustrating to be able to give only virtual hugs and say thank you. I'm sitting in front of this keyboard just shaking my head and gesturing frustration with my hands, flipping between concern and gratitude. I keep hearing my mother say, "Better days are coming." They will.

All's fine here. After a Super Shower, I'm loving Bel Respiro, the most "me" of all the Chanels. Will set up a rain barrel today and work on Daughter's video request.

Hugs to JR and tdem. I'm just so sad for both of your situations.

As predicted, I didn't feel terribly generous about sending my guy off this morning while others stay safely at home. Yes, I am selfish, deeply flawed and unlikely to change or apologize for it at my age, lol. Thank goodness our health care providers do not have my attitude, is all I can say.

Doing my best to at least remain cheerful in fragrance related matters and Shalimar Parfum Initial is holding up its end of the bargain. A good call on this foggy morning. And on the bright side, very glad to know that your symptoms were mild and brief, Quarry! We'll gladly take that good news!

Tdem and Shycat, hoping your husband/kid recovers quickly. Jon and Teardrop, thanks for your flexibility and strength in keeping things going. Somebody has to keep the lights on, the water flowing, people fed, and sick people from getting sicker.

Calls to the suicide hotline here are up 41% over this time last year. If you or someone you know is feeling suicidal, the US national suicide hotline number is 1-800-273-8255. They can help you. I'm sure other countries have similar resources.

I am getting out of the house today and going for a long walk. SOTD is Cedre Sambac.

It does! It's in Japanese, but the 90 is plainly visible. I wish I could afford to use it everywhere as sanitizer!
