Default Men's Club by Helena Rubinstein - An Under-The-radar Classic?

    Hi All!
Just bought Men's Club by Helena Rubinstein (19??). 100ml spray. A total blindbuy. I know diddly-squat about this, other than it's demanding stupid prices online. So why the hell blindbuy it? Well, I found this bottle here in DK (of all places) for the price equivalent to 15$...
Have any of you fine folks had any experience with this fragrance?
    All the best,
    Martin

I have not. The notes look interesting. Enjoy!
FYI: I spray all fragrances on clothing, never on skin.

Never seen this one before! Let us know what you think of it!
Very clearly a case for corn flakes and classics

While having never seen this fragrance before, must admit off-topic to have had good experiences with vintage formulations of both HR cosmetics and other fragrances-therefore, the first reaction and opinion would be to consider this fragrance a fairly safe (including blind) vintage buy

They do indeed. Didn't imagine it was from '66, I thought it was an 80s launch

Thanks Ken, that's good to hear. I might look further in to that House, as I know very little about it.

    Hello Martin!
But yes, I know this Eau de Cologne very well!

Because I used it for quite a while, but only in the first version from 1966.

    See photo of my flacon:

Your flacon is the version from 1975!

I then no longer bought this version of 1975, because H.R. changed the formula that I no longer liked.
In the mid 1980s a vision called as "Men's Club 52" was launched - and this also as Eau de Toilette.

The entire production of this men's series ended in the late 1980s. Shortly after the Helena Rubinstein brand was taken over by the French cosmetic giant L'Oreal.

In my opinion, the Men's Club range was the very first men's care range with a huge range of 14!! care products - and this as early as 1966! Exceptional!

In original box is an overview sheet with all these products - in French - see below:

In my opinion, this series should be reissued!

Awesome info! I just checked ebay and was wondering about the Men's Club 52. Was it a kind of flanker?
I Also saw a much newer/recent bottle there of Men's Club aftershave, so maybe it was relaunched at some point:

This is beginning to get very interresting!

@sniffman >>> your spray bottle could be from 1981 because there are gold lines on the label.

Please, can you show the back of bottle?
