I was mildly horrified when an axe-throwing school opened in my neighborhood a few months ago, but my attitude toward them softened this week when they showed a little humorous flare with their new sign:

Good morning all !. Snow showers here but skies are clearing already. Would normally be disappointed but we don't need any further travel disruption at the moment so the winter wonderland can stay on hold for a few months.

    Good morning!

Lush Twilight as my AM scent. I'll shower at noon and then I'll switch to a PM scent. I haven't decided yet which one it should be - I'll go with my mood.

As for senior hours at 6 AM... I wonder if age can make me an early riser with time. I doubt it. So far I'm taking pandemic as a blessing every morning when I can allow myself to throw myself out of bed at ~7.40 AM (which is also ungodly early, but at least bearable), brush my teeth, shower, make some coffee, do a light exercise and start working. Or even sleep in a little bit and shower later in the day (like today). I really don't miss those hour long commutes to work. I'm feeling much better when I can use that extra hour for sleep.

Sending out best wishes and hugs to everyone who needs or wants them. Take care.

Oh. Just seen it in the news. Italy is commemorating March 31st as a Mourning day to commemorate all the deaths from the virus.
I'll wear an Italian fragrance in the PM to commemorate the dead. Maybe something by L'Erbolario. Maybe Meharees.
My love goes to Italy and our Italian friends here.

    Morning all!

Jon, that's a brilliant pic, & very appropriate right now when we're all discussing Covid haircuts!

Regarding supermarkets opening early for elderly/vulnerable/key workers: nothing could persuade me to go shopping that early, especially having seen the queues on TV. l've found that the supermarket is much calmer later in the day, even if there is less choice left on the shelves.

Jon & N.CAL, l'm looking forward to trying Jasmin Antique!

No snow here, but it's cold. l have a day off, & l really need to get my head around studying again. l had a meeting with my tutor scheduled for tomorrow morning, but now of course that will have to take place on the telephone instead, so l need to prepare a bunch of stuff to email to her today in preparation. l find myself envying those of you who have to stay at home; that would be very handy for me right now!

l'm sampling Seaflower by Neil Morris today.

Oh, JR, that's great!! Your barbers over there must go through clipper blades like nobody's business! And here I was still cracking up at Cook.bot's sign! Double LOL whammy this morning! My city has recently become home to an axe-throwing bar, which my brother keeps trying to get me out to. As if. I'm old enough to know not to mix alcohol and weapons with family.

teardrop, I confess to secretly wishing that by some happy surprise you won't be needed in another area of the hospital, and could maybe have a short break instead. A long shot, I know, but how lovely that would be. I hope your studies can continue smoothly throughout this situation!

Cold here, too. Another day that calls for a cozy oriental; MH Fleur Oriental it is. As much as I love this, I do hope it'll be too warm to wear it soon! Hugs to anyone who needs/wants, and continued good wishes for everyone's health.

Thanks PerfumedLady, please pray it will be so! lt's looking increasingly likely that l will be moved soon, & it scares the s**t out of me. Apparently l'm one of those "earmarked" to be moved to a medical ward, while one of my colleagues might be moved to the Emergency Department, which is probably even worse.

My tutor has been very understanding after l confessed to my recent lack of motivation: she says l'm doing ok in the circumstances & that a lot of my fellow students are in a similar situation. There may well be some leeway for an extension of the deadline for those of us working on the frontlines, although l'd rather avoid asking for that if l can.

Oh, (((teardrop))), anticipation is a magnifying glass, for better or worse.

After about two weeks, I have to go the grocery store. I finally can drop off the following message, tucked into a decorated envelope, signed only with my initials. I hope it feels as good for the recipients to read these words as it did for me to express them:

To the staff and management of my [city & store name]:

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I recognize that the grocery business, which manages the flow of tens of thousands of product types from their sundry sources to be made constantly and consistently available to the public, requires a superstructure of coordination executed by reliable people. I know, too, that the profit margin for your industry is not generous. Certainly, all of us consumers take your careful work for our health, nutrition, and convenience for granted.

Now, more than ever, let me say how appreciative I am for your continued service, for your overcoming new challenges in keeping supply chains connected, and going further to protect our health than ever before. I know that each of your staff members has their own personal concerns weighing on them. I wish I could do something to alleviate your emotional burdens and mental distractions. We’re all just human. The best I can do is type up these thoughts in hope that each of you can get a little boost from a sincere note of gratitude, especially during these crazy days.

Have to add another to the long list of wardrobe scents Mr. Q doesn't like: Lolita Lempicka. Wearing it now since I'll be heading out the door momentarily.
