Question Any Good Newish Sandalwoods ?

Always looking for sandalwood dominated fragrances.
I know the authentic buttery mysore sandalwood note is hard to replicate with synthetics, but is there anything that comes close ?

It can be a male or female perfume.

    Thanks for any help.

I recommend Tam Dao or the delicious sandalwoody base in Hammam Bouquet.

Comparatively new and fairly inexpensive pricing, especially compared to its performance: Zara Sandalwood/Sandalo EDT

Cartier Pasha Parfum (2020) is a creamy sandalwood scent with spice and fir accents. Nicely done.

Here's a newish one (2017) from YSL that I just picked up. Just thinking about it makes me want to spray it on even though I just sprayed another fragrance for my SOTD already. lol

I’m enjoying the current version of Profumum Santalum. It’s a bright, all season creamy woody smell, I heard it may be New Caledonian sandalwood.

I’m really enjoying Au Hasard (2018) by Louis Vuitton right now. When things feel normal again out there it’s a FB pickup for me.

Santal du Pacifique by Perris Monte Carlo (2016) is a lovely creamy, tropical sandalwood.

Oh man, as a huge sandalwood fan (probably my favorite note in perfumery), I'm dying to get my nose on this one!! KBF, where did you get it from??
I wish somebody here was decanting it... not yet that I know of.

On another note, nobody has mentioned Pasha Parfum - recently released. Its an excellent sandalwood, with boozy and spicy notes, and some sweetness from tonka. Really a love at first sniff for this sandalwood fan, I highly recommend trying it if you like sandalwood.

Hey Joe! I ordered it from Neiman Marcus during their 50 off 200 or more and 100 off 400 or more promotion. I think it may still be going on so it ended up being 200 for a big 4oz bottle. If you love sandalwood you need this one

might be too basic/designer for your taste, but I actually think Zadig & Voltaire This Is Love! Pour Homme is a really solid sandalwood release

I'm not sure if this is "new-ish" but New York Sandalwood is worth a try.

Congrats! I picked up a bottle during the last Neiman sale as well (the 25% off one before this one). Couldn't be happier with the purchase! I wish I could sample the other 2 in the Couture line, but this one's a winner for sure.

Diptyque Tam Dao EdP is the most recent I have come across - very good interpretation of santalum album, albeit a 'replicant'. I don't like Tam Dao EdT at all, though - nothing to do with sandalwood at all.

Will check out the Dior one . . .

Thank you! And yes now I would really like to try the other 2 as well.

I agree with the YSL recommendation above. It's very well done - but it's pricey! Too pricey, in my opinion. But you should try it nonetheless.

I do NOT recommend the Dior. It sucks when it comes to it's sandalwood note.

    Have you tried these?:

Santal du Pacifique by Perris Montecarlo (they have an EdP and an Extrait - the Extrait is the one I recommend but it's mad expensive...)
    Concrete by Comme des Garcons
Santal Blanc by Van Cleef & Arpels
Indian Study- Santal by Miller Et Bertaux
    L'Arbre by IUNX
    Bois de Mysore by Mizensir
Santal Nanataea by Mona di Orio
