Default A 'perfect' temperature for frags?

    Such a thing?
I tells ya for why. Of late with the changing season and temps around 15°c, everything seems to smell pretty dope. Open, fuller, clearer. Feels just right.
I'm guessing theres some sort of math(s), chem, biology and physics crossover where manufacturers design for?

I’ve noticed certain fragrances smell amazing on certain days of the year because of how they carry in the air and I’ve suspected temperature plays a significant part. There is probably a perfect temperature for many frags but defintely not all the same temperature. Guessing personal note preference and perception will amplify this too. At around 15 degrees C Chanel Pour Monsieur EdP smells pretty damn perfect to me.

I would assume it makes sense. Perfumes are mostly designed for an average situation, ie presumably room temperature or spring/autumn. Too hot and everything evaporates too fast or is too intense. Too cold and nothing evaporates.

I don't know what the perfect temperature is, but today was 72F and my fragrance performed marvelously.

Living in an area with moderate continental climate (though extreme outliers of brief scorching or freezing temperatures can occur) have noticed that such median temperatures are usually very good both for fragrance wearing and for storage thereof.

For me anywhere between 70-75F is ideal.

    Depends on the scent.
I also prefer low humidity. I often get the feeling that scents were designed for (or at least designed in) air conditioned office conditions.
    1. No, never blind buy (I do, but do as I say, not as I do. I'm taking no responsibility for your fragrance gambling).
    2. Get them both. You're a Basenoter and you know you're going to end up purchasing them both eventually.
    3. Yes, it has been reformulated.
    4. Looking for a signature scent? You've come to the wrong place.

I think no humidity, under 68 degrees Fahrenheit are most ideal for me.

Uncanny, CPM is what inspired me to post. I take back all the things I've said about its poor performance. 3 month maceration and 15°c and its Radiating away nicely! One of those that makes you exclaim "oomph oh yeah this is good"!

I think that 15 to 20 celcius would be IDEAL.

I had the same experience with having to let the EdT macerate. It was one of the rare instances I nearly took back a bottle to the department store because on first spray it lasted like a you know what in the wind. I gave it a chance and was glad I did. Love both moreish concentrations.

Yes indeed. We have been blessed with beautiful weather as of late and is ideal. I'm not looking forward to the muggy, very thick humid summer months of TN. Visited Newport Beach CA 3 years ago for a conference. I see why people love CA due to 0% humidity. Didn't sweat a bead. Landed in Nashville, got off the plane and it was so thick you could cut it with a knife. Instant headache.

Room temperature +/- 10 degrees F tends to work fine. Certain scents I feel are better suited for cooler weather, some for warmer weather.
