My morning scent was Eau Rose by Diptyque and I've now just spritzed on some 1845 by Mount Romance (oriental scent with lots of sandalwood and a bit of floral).

I've re-discovered my love of reading since staying at home, although, I seem to be picking more lighter reads than I normally would.........

Thinking of you all and wishing everybody, good health!

    Hello, dears!

CuddleCat, I'm also reading more. I think it's absolutely fitting to choose lighter reads during pandemics - after all we all need some escapism right now, and a good light read can provide it like no other thing. Are you looking for more fantasy, more crime or more romance, or some other kind of light reading these days?
I finally found time to finish Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn trilogy, I'm on a second book right now. I really loved the first book of the series, but somehow I didn't grab the second one right away. Luckily I bought them all just before this madness started. I have his The Way of Kings books on my shelf, too, patiently waiting. I think I'll start reading them after the Mistborn series. Usually I do most of my reading on commute to and from work (and usually just read books on my phone), and these books are just too huge to carry around. I think I should just switch to e-books for Mr. Sanderson - sometimes a longer reading session in bed feels like an arm workout!

I'm wearing Reb’l Fleur Love Always by Rihanna today. I think it's a pretty good gourmand, soft, enveloping and coconutty. I'm glad I got the sample in a magazine. I'll definitely use it up, and if I feel like missing it afterwards, the price is very good, too. (it's pretty much the same scent as original Reb'l Fleur, but I think I prefer this version, as it seems a bit deeper and softer - but I can't really compare right now and memory is not always right. I will when the stores are open again.) In general I think Rihanna's scents are pretty good celebrity scents. For example, Rogue is a pretty good alternative for Bottega Venetta - just a bit sweeter, pepperier and not as beautifully soft, but still pretty good for a price.

    Visa (Aurelian Guichard)

The sun is shing brightly and I anticipate some sunbathing interspersed with
the usual household chores. It's certainly a good day for drying towels
    and sheets.
On a less mundane note, my husband has been working quietly
behind the scenes with a plastics company to make some protective visors
for our NHS workers and the first batch arrive today to be distributed by a team
of volunteer motor bikers that he has organised a rota for. Hopefully the visors
should be in our local hospitals today or tomorrow to protect those working in
    close contact with the virus.

Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."

Mine, too. It's usually messed up because of DH's work schedule but, lately, even more so.

Thank you, Mr. Kewart -- good deeds anywhere help everywhere, especially in a pandemic.

    Happy Birthday, RichMan.

Our state is in the news. If you know why, join me in a group "ugh." Damn politics.

One of the handy things about being remodelers is having all kinds of protective gear in stock -- welding helmet, goggles and, for today's foray to Menard's, I'll be wearing a 3M double-canister respirator (which will probably fog my glasses, grrrr). Stein Garden Center is closed during our safer-at-home (aka lockdown lite), so I can't get straw bales (took up straw bale gardening a couple years ago), but the home-improvement center Menard's carries some of the garden supplies I need AND they have a grocery section where I hope to score at least one carton of eggs. Fingers crossed.

It's fabulously foggy at 7:30 a.m. and I think the sharp Fragonard Rose de Mai will cut through the fog.

Wisconsin politics seem especially weird. It's such a nice state otherwise and I always think of you, Quarry.

Hello everyone I totally agree with the rest of you, kudos to Mr Kewart! I just got up since I've turned my sleeping-rythm for 2 nightshifts to come. The weather is dreadful... Rain and lots of wind. At least that might mean we get Spring here soon I'm also relieved to hear the Nick Cave concert is postponed a year. That means I can apply for a holidayweek in advance Sotd is a really neglected scent. I suspect it's because it's in perfumeoil-format and quite similar to Sous le vent.... But less complicated and more bitter. I enjoy it today, though. Sotd/sotn is Mousse de Chine by Ava Luxe.
