Default Yves Saint Laurent - Bad Experience

Ordered a bottle of 24 RUE DE L'UNIVERSITE for my birthday. Arrives today, on my birthday. Open the package and there's two samples in an otherwise empty box. They said it will take 30 days to process my refund because now they don't have stock...I will not be ordering from YSL ever again.

I don't have a problem with a missing bottle of cologne. I have a problem with having to wait 30 days for a refund. Not sure how that's taking things personal, I'm simply expecting my money back within a reasonable time frame...30 days seems ridiculous.

Well, you are right 30 days is a little too long, maybe it might be due to the current situation, but hopefully you get it sooner.

Ya, I thought that too...but they said the issue was specific to using PayPal and the extended period of time. Didn't make much sense to me as I've never had issues getting refunds via PayPal before. Oh well...hopefully I get the refund because I was not really given any sort of confirmation during my chat or phone call w/ YSL which is causing some distress :-/

I can understand your frustration. I would feel the same way.

Bummer... at least, were the samples worth it?

I would have also had a problem with them not notifying you in advance that you weren't getting what you ordered. It would have taken about one minute to let you know, rather than letting you open an empty box.

Haha no. They were YSL L'homme flanker samples and I think some random women's scent. I'm shocked because it's YSL...I've had issues with Chanel and Dior direct in the past...Dior sent me a Second Privee bottle for my troubles. YSL wouldn't even send an email confirming I would be refunded when I requested it.

That does seem particularly poor from a brand with the prestige of YSL.

    Has this been sorted now?

Yes, it took several weeks to get my money back. Their online store doesn't match the designer experience of Dior, Chanel, TF, etc...they're contracting out shipping and customer service. Absolute garbage experience all around. The customer service person was eating food on the phone while I was explaining the situation and couldn't care less that I was out money...didn't speak clear English and sounded like they were either on drugs or nodding off...I wish I was kidding but I'm not unfortunately.

That's genuinely shocking. Crap experience, sorry to hear it - I imagine you don't want to rush out and buy another bottle of 24 Rue which is a shame as it's a good fragrance. Stupidity from YSL, they can't expect to keep custom with that sort of model. Sounds genuinely awful.

It ended up working out for me. I found a tester at a much cheaper price and didn't have to give YSL my $ after all of that BS! Things eventually ended up being ok, I was just really pissed about being out the money for several weeks...that's just unacceptable.

It doesn't surprise me tbh. I contacted several regional YSL sites in the past, customer service was equally terrible on all of them, it must be the company policy. The contrast was striking compare to MFK or Dior, though Dior sort of lied, but lied promptly and respectfully at least.

I ordered from the YSL site about a month ago. No issues, other than it took almost a month for me to receive shipment.
