Default Most worn in April 2020

    Hello, fellow nerdettes and nerds!

Will wear today's scent for at leats two more days, so my stats are ready to roll, and look like this.

    5 Black Cashmere
    4 Poivre Piquant, (untitled) l'eau
3 Eau de Charlotte, Folavril, Ormonde, Zagorsk
    2 Rosissimo, Santal Noble

Black Cashmere is an old Easter favourite, and I really enjoyed its company. Eau de Charlotte and Folavril are both Spring staples.

As for single wears, I tested all five Nakuna Helsinki fragrances: Avanto, Iho, Mittumaari, Musta, and Ralli.

What did you wear in April?

These four rose to the top in April:

1 Santos by Cartier 12 wears
2 Giorgio for Men by Giorgio Beverly Hills 10 wears
3 Chanel Pour Monsieur by Chanel 9 wears
4 Or Black by Pascal Morabito 4 wears

Cartier Santos came out of nowhere. I only had a sample at the start of the month, and now it's in the permanent collection.

Everything else got just 1 wear.
It was the month of quarantine and I wore TONS of fragrances, up to 3 or 4 per day (including fun with layering). I would do a morning scent, a PM scent, a late evening scent. I also sampled a lot. I was mostly drawn to citrusy, cheerful and inexpensive scents I could spray or dab in gleeful abandon - especially citrusy, as citruses are capable to make me happy and energized. Ginger was also high in my priority list. I focused less on my "tried and true" favourites - it was interesting to see that I actually wear them not only for myself, but as some extension of myself, too, because it felt kind of wasteful to wear them home alone. I found out that I was drawn to lavender - a scent I never ever wanted to smell like before! But it really gave me some calm. I think I went a bit aromatherapeutic way during the last 7 weeks.
I also was/am on a bit of a finish focus on some of my fragrances - Verveine, both Terre de Lumieres, Salvador Dali and Dali Wild. I have drained Verveine this month, the other four will be worn next month, too.

I work from home, so what you're describing is normal for me. Wearing favorites at home became normal. I can vary from four fragrances per day, to the same fragrance for three days. I usually count it as a new wearing when I reapply a fragrance, so the number of wearings can shoot up fast for lighter fragrances that get reapplied, such as Guerlain Eau de Cologne Imperiale or Cartier Santos.

I have several favourites that I mostly wear at home anyway with rare exceptions, as they don't feel neither like work-friendly fragrances nor party scents and not necessarily fit me as a person - namely Shalimars, Opium and Bapteme du Feu. But those favourites that are more universally pleasing and at the same time feel very much "me" (like Guilty Absolute, Bulgari Black, Les amoureux de Peynet, For Her...) were worn less - basically only when I felt I missed them so much. Maybe if I worked at home more I'd also normalize their daily wearing at home, too. For now it seemed that I chose my "home" fragrances, casual fragrances or uplifting/calming scents the most.

I also track reapplications as additional wearings (unless it's a super light touch up, then I don't necessarily count it) and I agree on lighter scents racking wears much faster (because who needs to reapply a heavy scent anyway). For example, Verveine is so fleeting on my skin I actually reapplied it much more than I could possibly track, as you need to wait at least 4 hours to track the same scents as your SOTD
