Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."

Good morning all !. foxbins, really sorry to hear the sad news about your cat.

Hazel, regarding the Blu Mediterraneo series - I would especially recommend trying the wonderful Chinotto Di Liguria. In addition, Mirto Di Panarea and Fico Di Amalfi are both fantastic and well worth sampling.

The Different Company - De Bachmakov.

foxbins and Quarry I'm sorry to hear about your dear kitties. It's part of the deal, isn't it? Caring for them in sickness and in health. And oh so hard in sickness.

I'm trying out Salted Green Mango by Strangers. I don't usually go for bitter, green scents but this one has enough of a salty marine vibe that I LOVE it.

(((foxbins))) & (((Bertie))), I'm so sorry. Bertie is a lucky kitty to have found you and received your love. May we all be so lucky as to spend our last days in such loving care.

Lots of love also to the Quarrys' grandkitty (and his people!). You've loved him just the same as if he were your own pet; also a very lucky feline.

Sad that we're losing two beloved BN pets but as always, seeing all the love for animals here warms the heart. A bunch of softies, we are! And I'm glad.

    Went for Infusion d'Iris today.

Foxbins, I am sorry about your cat. Palliative care and at home euthanasia helped ease my dog's last weeks so much, it is good your cat can be home and taken care of at the end.

Frapin 1270 for today. And perhaps finally a fixed dishwasher, the repair people are coming back.

(((foxbins))) and (((Quarry))) -- the exchange of unconditional love and trust of care between animals and their people is one of the most honest and beautiful things about that relationship. Your kitties are lucky to have such wonderful people.

I'm sampling Bortnikoff Musk Cologne this morning, and this is not what I expected but in a good way! I get a blast of Juicy Fruit gum at the opening, then it settles down into a really warm, snuggly organge-y musk with a hint of boot leather underneath. The musk isn't skanky animalic, but it's not clean either. More warm fur-animalic. I'll definitely finish the sample, and I may grab the Bortnikoff cologne discovery set on Luckyscent. But I don't love it enough for the $280 price tag for 50ml.

Thank you for your expressions of sympathy for Bertie. He is behaving normally, although I think he's a bit perplexed about why his favorite treats are appearing far more frequently than usual. Quarry, I'm hoping you got good news about Clay Kitty.

I am wearing Stash today and am indulging in some stress buying. Jon, I will be joining you in some La Nuit parfum soon! I am excited about it. I also bought Heeley Chypre 21 and some samples of Prada Infusion d'Oeillet, since I can't have too many carnations.

    You (((sweeties))) express compassion beautifully.

Bertie, baby, how are you fairing today? How old is Bertie, foxbins? I believe the worst part of this stage is determining "the day." We question our ability to judge when there will be no more good days. It's a burden you've elected to carry to make his life ever more wonderful. Bless your heart. Clay Kitty's holistic vet is waiting on his bloodwork results, but they've said he appears good for 17. Maybe he's just lost his little mind and that's why he's suddenly spraying the walls and going potty all over?

I think I'm getting tired of my wardrobe. I usually order samples only in the winter to help fill the long dark days. Almost exactly a year ago, we had our Chicago meet-up. Sigh. The local Nordstrom has not reopened yet. If it were open, I'd go ask an SA to make samples of something -- heck, anything new. On the upside, the lilacs should be releasing their fragrance soon.

Okay, time to pull the trigger -- or pump the atomizer, as it were. Beefy Bel Ami it is.
