    Default Bvlgari Black Reformulation?

I just bought a sample of Black and when it arrived I immediately splashed some on. I immediately fell in love with it, but it did not smell anything like how I thought it would/should be. It had no smoke, a tad bit of rubber, and no leather. Just a beautiful slightly green, powdery vanilla. Has it been reformulated? Reformulation would make sense considering it would probably have been too edgy for many people to enjoy. Also, has it been discontinued?

yes it's been reformulated, it still smells the same to me but it's lighter now.

It’s discontinued but can still be purchased at some online discounters. I’m not aware of it having ever been reformulated.

This one is subject to "Schrödinger's Discontinuation", meaning it is if you want it to be, but also not if you don't want it to be, since stores seem to keep stocking it and prices seem very fair online.

There is definitely a fair amount of smoky rubber/leatherette in every Black I've tried, and yes it has that powdery vanilla side as well. In the same genre I prefer sth like Tom of Finland Etat Libre d'Orange but Black is half the price...

It can still be found readily on eBay for an affordable price.

Last bottle I bought is a 2014 batch I bought 3 years ago.
I got an email from bulgari confirming it's discontinuation.
the older bottles I had with twist cap would leak but were stronger. I read somewhere that black used to contain oakmoss but I'm not sure. similar to what happened with Rochas man.

I suspect it was reformulated at some point, before it's discontinuation.

As with the response above, I have the "twist cap" version, of which the sprayer can break if you are not careful with it, and which I'm assuming is an indication of the original version.

Strong stuff, is my experience with this version.

don't get me wrong , i like the current version but the one with the twist cap was stronger.
