Default Any alternative for Cuir Impertinent Mugler?

    Hey folks,

Hope you're staying safe. Quick question for those that got your noses on Cuir Impertinent by Mugler. Does it remind you of something else that is similar or in the same vein? I recently was testing this and I enjoyed it enough to consider owning it but then I noticed it might be discontinued or something. (Out Of Stock in Mugler website). I rather not get attached to a fragrance if its hard to get.

Looking forward to the responses, thanks.

The tobacco doesn't have to be as amped. I think currently I got my heart on Tobacco Dynasty for that.

Maybe it's just restricted distribution or being out of stock. It's still available in the French site. Mail them and ask. After all, it's always better to get the real thing.
I tried it but don't recall the smell. This line is nice.

I think it'll be back in stock. Where are you located?

To my nose it's mostly a star anise focussed leather fragrance. I haven't encountered anything that could be considered an alternative, the closest to it is Pure Malt but still quite different.

Since Pure Malt was mentioned, perhaps also Pure Havane, Pure Tonka and/or Pure Malt Creation-should either of these Mugler choices be not or less appropriate, would only then start looking up, (re) testing and/or experiences other designer and/or niche alternatives to Cuir Impertinent (happening to also enjoy this, to an extent similar to other Amen flankers).

As an owner, to me It reminds me a little of Cuir Eternel by Jardin de France.

I just checked the Nordstrom website and it's no longer there. Most of the Mugler Les Exceptions line seems to be missing.

I checked The Bay’s website here and while Cuir Impertinent is shown there is a notation “limited inventory.” That’s worrisome. The store will be reopening supposedly this coming week. Maybe I can find out.

Cuir Impertinent has been my go-to leather in the past year. It’s a real comfortable wear. I hope it is still in good standing.

Have you tried emailing Mugler to find out if and when it will be back in stock? It had been out of stock previously and I wrote to inquire. It was back in stock when they said it would be and I was able to grab a bottle. Hoping it’s just temporarily out of stock.

only to add i would go for the real thing if/when possible as it's a fantastic fragrance. blows the majority of leather offerings away, backup worthy

still in-stock @ Mulger UK outlet too.

Thanks all for the suggestions, I had pure malt previously but it didn't jive with me as Cuir Impertinent did.

I'll follow up with the suggestion on e-mailing them to see.
