    Default New here

Just wanted to post and say hi and maybe get some feedback, mostly going to lurk. Got into buying fragrance samples the last 2-3 weeks. I think I've got 50 or so that I'm trying out. I'm hoping to end up with 3-4 favorites that I can purchase full sized bottles of! My absolute love at first sight, think about it all the time, completely obsessed with it, can't get enough favorite sample that I've tried is Eau D'Italie Bois d'Ombrie- it's just perfect. I am also extremely fond of Ok Fine Double Vanilla Bourbon and Alkemia Antares. If anyone has suggestions, I'm very interested.

Sadly, I haven't tried the three fragrances that you loved the most so far - but I'm glad to see you're enjoying your samples!
If you want, you can make a list of your samples and share your impressions on the scents in this thread or so - it would be interesting to read them

Same here. Lemon Lime Lady has seemingly started out of the gate with obscure rarities. Like Bonnette, I'm stumped for recommendations at the moment.

Welcome! Glad you joined us and wishing you a wonderful stay here.

As a few possible (re) testing recommendations based on your scent choices and tastes, also adding the houses of Lutens, Eau des Minimes, Guerlain, Caron, Chopard for gerat vanilla renditions almost irrespective of their scents/like their in-house trademark specialty, Aqua Allegoria range by Guerlain as well and Voyage d'Hermes for the citrus.

    Hi, and welcome!

The wonderful thing about BN (aside from this incredible community of like-minded wingnuts) is you can list out all your samples in your wardrobe, make notes just for yourself at the bottom (no one can see them but you) and maybe share your thoughts.

And as N.Cal mentioned, be sure to share your Scent Of The Day (or SOTE if, like many of us, you enjoy nighttime fragrances). We also have a Friday Sync where we all choose something based on that Friday's theme - this Friday is "Robin-in-FL’s Fruity Day." If you enjoy photography, throw in photos as you acquire new juice. We love to pat one another on the back for new purchases.

Ok yea, that's probably a wise idea or I'll just repurchase the same samples, I plan on reselling or giving away the samples I intensely dislike and it's best to keep track. I will work on that.

    Fridays sound fun!

Ok sooo my obsession with Bois d'Ombie, I've been carrying around the below spice for like 7 year since I discovered it at Trader Joe's, it was a limited edition. I LOVE the way it smells, it's smoke and paprika and a little zest and I've moved a lot and it's always come with me and I would take a deep breath of it and feel soothed. d'Ombrie smells like fresh habanero extract when I first apply which I used to take for health reasons and then it dries and smells like my beloved spice.

I've worn it side by side with Over The Chocolate Shop by 4160 Tuesdays and Ok Fine Double Vanilla Bourbon and the smoke and the spice and some warm vanilla and I feel like I'm in a happy place...maybe an exotic restaurant of sorts, in the evening, mildly buzzed. That's my very inexperienced review.

I also had sinus surgery 3 years ago that only partially corrected an ongoing sinus problem so my sniffer is probably not up to par and never will be. That's my disclaimer.

I think I have Lutens and Guerlain samples coming in the mail. The des Minimes really intrigues me, I'm looking for a sample of that now.
