New York Intense is a five star masterpiece, but I didn't suggest it as one can find the dry-down ever so slightly bitter due to the moss.

Two strong suggestions from me would be Lubin Itasca and Comme des Garçons 2 Man.

Having said that, you don't need to splurge $$$.

Lalique has quite a few very nice office-friendly perfumes.

The PdNs are a good choice!

PATCHOULI INTENSE is a recent discovery for me and I can't gush enough about it. A bit beastly for office I think but you be the judge.

Yes, some of these are also to widen a bit my "fragrance nose". I wanted one or 2 good patchoulis (and later in september/october 2 or 3 good ambers) to compare. Same goes for Tobacco rose for a rose scent (tried Rose Taif by Perris Monte Carlo, thought it was Ok) and Russian Tea for a tea scent. So half my basket is intended for office/all day and other half for discovery

Hi guys, coming one last time to see if you'd have any last suggestions. My criteria is up to 200$ for a 100ml. It's probably going to be my go-to and signature scent.
I've taken notes of many of your suggestions. Some I already tested, some I can't get my hand on and some are on my shopping list.

I've a big(ish) shopping list, but I won't get all of those samples at the same time (3 different sellers and will test 1 sample/day max):

Absinth fou and Timbuktu by Artisan Parfumeur
Tam Dao and Vetyverio EDP (like the edt from the latter, but a bit too fresh) by Diptyque
Silver Mountain water and green irish tweed by Creed
    Mortel and II by Trudon
Intrigant patchouli and Sorong by PG
    Salute! by PE
Mandragore Pourpre and Bois d'Hadrien by A. Goutal
Papyrus Oud par Histoire de parfum
Fougere Nobile by Nobile 1942 (to try on skin)
PdN New york intense and Cuir Cuba
    MFK Amyris and Lumiere noire
Ganymede (hear a lot of good from it even it was never suggested, your thoughts on this for office/signature scent?)
    Route du Vetiver by MPG
    Sequoia by Comme des garcons.

The list is long, and it will take me some weeks to test them all with ease. The list allows me one final sample, hence my question.
After this, I wont buy any samples before October for a potential winter/christmas scent.

    Have a great day guys!

If you’re looking into MFK may I also suggest Masculin Pluriel. A modern more subtle update on classic fougeres. Very office friendly.

From a personal viewpoint: a very good sample list chosen and put together, quite certain not just that you will enjoy most of these.
But also that the selection will keep you covered with some of the best on budget office friendly niche choices, sufficient and versatile to last until the next major sampling/purchase (s) scheduled for the upcoming winter and/or Christmas.

Thank you for the suggestion! I've looked into it and it seems to fit in the price range and style. I've looked into some lists alongs al your recommandations and never encountered this scent although it seems quite nice. I've added a sample in my shopping list and seem to be ready to order

Thank you very much. I never blind buy, and am overly cautious of what I buy. That's the reason of the big purchase which will take me some time to test (but i'm not in a hurry, I'd like to get my signature/office scent ready for September)

    Hello folks, little update

I purchased a lot of samples, but at the end, I have 6 fragrances (out of over 20) that I have to sample more extensively to see how it works with my skin, longevity etc...

    My selection:

    Fou absinthe by Artisan Parfumeur
    Bois d'Hadrien by A. Goutal
    Lumiere noire by MFK
    New york intense by PdN
    N5 by Rosendo
    1725 casanova by HdP

With a preference between Fou Absinthe - 1725 casanova - NY intense and n5 by Rosendo

Edit: Rosendo smells nice but now that I tested it on skin it's not what I looking for, slightly too sweet for the purpose I'm seeking.
    This narrows the field down

Tried Cedrat Boise which was good, but didn't speak muck too me. I'll actually refrain myself to the selection I made because otherwise I'll ruin myself with samples and this could last on and on and on Thanks though!

Timbuktu was very highly praised, but there is a fruity note that really doesn't fit my skin chemistry.
I'm exited to test NY intense for a day on my skin

Just a heads up, usually testing on skin ideally requires one to go through 3-5 ml of it in my experience. Many times I tested something on skin from a 1ml sample vial and even though I liked it, either it was too quiet or fleeting, or something else. Later I'd revisit and wear from a decant or a bottle, and I'd find that performance was okay and I would discover a lot of nuances that I would not get from those tiny 1 ml sample vials. Of course, if there's something I do not like at all based on its notes/accords/composition, (let's say a 'negative' instead of a 'neutral') then a decant or a bottle wouldn't be needed to assess properly.

Personally, I don't think Fougere Royale would be too harsh for an office environment. If you look, you can probably find some Creeds for close to that price point.

For me I’d go Creed GIT or Original Vetiver for office wear, any particular reason why it’s got to be niche though? As your excluding things like Mugler Cologne, Prada L’Homme or Chanel AHS which are all great for the office although not niche fragrances.

Thanks for the tip, yes I will test the bottle out. For now I think I'll spray a different frag on each arm to compare how they compare. Then, after selection, I'd wear it through

For those suggesting GIT, it is a good suggestion and i purchased a sample. After testing, it smelled nice, but I'm a bit unsure because it's very similar (I might get trashed for that comparison) with Bleecker Street by Bond n9m which I already own.

Actually Chez Bond gets compared to Green Irish Tweed.
