Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. Hi, everyone! An aspirational scent for me today, because I need it:

Creative Scentualization's Light Comes From Within (not in the directory).

Light Comes From Within fragrance notes: Bergamot, freesia, honeysuckle, night blooming jasmine, oceanic musk, white cedar.

    Sorry about the rant yesterday.

A couple of fragrance-centric observations from yesterday -- there seemed to be Kouros party! You guys who wore it smelled terrific! (((Teardrop))), I'm so happy that you have some extended time off. Now you can potter, sunbathe, and fragrance-bathe to your heart's content. Jon, I can always tell when the temps have crept up past your comfort stage because your citric/EDC fragrances come out: ADPs, Creeds, etc. I empathize. Completely.

I find myself loving Bortnikoff's Musk Cologne and Amber Cologne even in (maybe especially in) the heat. How that guy can put oud and amber in a fragrance and come up with a sheer, luminous cologne is beyond me, but it's amazing. Jon, I can give 2 hearty thumbs to both of them but especially Amber Cologne for you. (I don't think Musk Cologne is the least bit diaper-centric -- more of the cuddly, warm musk that's found in the bases of some of your favorite vintage fragrances).

I'm wearing Amber Cologne this morning. So, so pretty.

A sample of his new Moss Cologne should arrive any day now (it seems to have been delayed in transit from LA), and I can't wait to try it.

Good morning, all! Ava Luxe Vanille Jolie for me today. Very pretty but in retrospect, not sure why I bought this, lol. I don’t need as many vanilla dominant scents as I have. Oh, well, I’m happy enough in it today! Wishing everyone a good day.

ExtremeK, thanks . I never really consider season in my choices so it may just be pure coincidence. Anyway, cooler temperatures are back by tomorrow so the comfort zone will be too . No apology necessary, btw - you were absolutely bang on.

    Why? Don't be.

You've intrigued me on Bortnikoff, especially the amber. I just bought Musc Monoi, btw... You're a dangerous one

The Bortnikoffs are so pricey, and the cologne offerings tend to have lots of natural ingredients, so longevity can be an issue, but they are SO nice! I’m really tempted by Luckyscent’s cologne sample pack, which features slightly larger spray sizes.

What do think of Musc Monoi? I keep coming back to it, and it’s hard to beat that price! I would wear it a lot in the summer, and I love its sweaty, sun-kissed skin aspect.

ETA: take care of you and your back, (((Quarry))). And now I’ve switched to Musc Monoi because (1) I’m suggestible, and (2) Amber Cologne - dabbed on - faded out after not quite three hours. Musc Monoi is still wonderful, and I’ve nearly drained the sample.

ExtremeK, hope the packing is mostly done.

I am wearing Assam of India for another lovely early summer day. My daylily plant made it through the winter and is flowering now! I'm pleased, it was looking quite sad in the fall.
