Default Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche

So what is everyone’s experiences with this frag? I wear and LOVE the entire Chanel Allure line, and was very hype to try this one based on countless reviews of how great it is. So I get it in the mail (2019 batch eau de Parfum batch obviously) and my first impressions aren’t great. I was under the impression that this one was going I be very creamy and sweet and long lasting and just GREAT IN GENERAL! But I get it, spray it on, scent is pretty good tbh but VERY light. Like to my nose and to my friends nose, we both really only pick up the strong lemon scent, nothing else. And to top it off, the scent DOES go away to my nose after about 2 or 3 hours (skin AND clothing)

So this is my experience, I’m assuming the smell DOES linger bc my friend keeps telling me I smell like a huge lemon drop. Kind of sad because I was very much looking forward to the super CREAMY VANILLA lemon pie scented frag. Please tell me your experiences with this one, and give me some alternatives that match what I’m looking for.

(A sweet VERY CREAMY vanilla citrus scent, basically very very close to Chanel allure homme sport and allure homme sport eau extreme BUT with more citrus and custard/vanilla/cream)

    THANK YOU!

How many times have you worn it? You may need to give yourself some time with it to experience the layers of the fragrance you have heard about.

I like the stuff but don't love it. I almost get the same vibes as you, but I can definitely sense the creaminess and some tart citrus notes. Keep in mind, I don't own this and have sampled it probably 5 or 6 times.

Like this one and might add this to the personal scent lineup, almost as personal favorite among Chanel masculines.

While this may seem quite creamy citrus vanillic scent, still retaining a certain freshness and appropriateness for summer as well as all year, even workplace/office friendly choice, at least based on personal opinions and experiences so far.

If your is neither creamy nor long lasting, you may want to question where you purchased it from (these Chanel's are very often faked - and some bottles look quite close to legit). Assuming you purchased it direct from Chanel, and not some shady place... I am only familiar with what I have, which is the Cologne Concentree version. It is extremely long lasting - and quite creamy.

I love the scent but it's easily the worst performing frag on my skin that I've ever owned.

I got a bottle of this just last year and I dig it. But I will say, for me, I do not get the "lemon pie" vibe that a lot of people talk about. It's lemony alright, but the dry down reveals almost a suede note mixed in. This works great in the fall, believe it or not. I do agree that it doesn't last past a couple of hours on my skin the first few times I used it - but a few sprays to my undershirt fixes that. Also, I noticed that the more I used it, the stronger it became, so give it some time to open up some.

I don't thinks it's sweet. It's not like a pie to me in the slightest.

    I like it. For a modern/current fragrance, I love it, top 10.

I have tested the edp and the old edt concentree side by side. The old version lasts much longer, but the edp is nicer while it lasts. I think Chanel ditched a fixative they were using when this and the Les Exclusifs switched to edp's. It was an awesome fixative, so it was a huge call. I think people miss it, including me, but I think there is more roundness to the newer ones, most obviously in the openings.

Try it on clothes if it’s not working on ur skin, mileage varies on skin as with all fragrances 4-5 sprays on clothes works great. Take your time with this one and see if your opinion changes over time not every fragrance on skin smells the same on every person.

Yea I know, on my clothes ALWAYS lasts much longer than on my skin. Anyways, so I’m going to experiment with this one for maybe a week or so and if I STILL don’t love it, would anybody want to buy it trade it? Everything is legit, I only buy my frags from real stores and online websites (except my decant) or, even better, if anybody has the old eau de toilette version that is so talked about and popular, I would LOVE to trade my full bottle of EDP for the EDT concentree!!

Slow your roll here... I think you might be overreacting a bit. I'm not an EDITION BLANCHE expert, but I don't think the issue is going to be resolved with an "older version." There are certainly many frags that have been reformulated and weakened. I have my doubts this is one of them.

What do you mean “slow my roll” lol I own about 30 bottles of cologne and enjoy swapping and trading, it’s what I like to do. It’s not always about an “issue” as it is I love to try them all and know that I can’t purchase a older bottle but would like to try and if that means trading a new bottle then I am willing, I can just buy another bottle after all

This is one of my all time favorites if not the one. Own and love the EDP but I found the cologne concentree just as nice. Good performance from both. Maybe it is not for you. I have been disappointed with countless scents with good reputation. This was a home run for me.

"Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche" is the last Allure Homme fragrance I need to complete my Allure Homme collection.. I always had a feeling it would be my favorite of the line! After wearing a few sprays from a tester bottle at the duty free I knew I was right! I do agree though that the whole "lemon pie" talk is a bit exaggerated! Edition Blanche to my nose is mostly a fresh lemon fragrance! There is however a vanilla backbone which feels like a powdery aura around the fragrance.. It combines very nicely with all of that lemon but it is definitely not one of those super sweet gourmand vanilla notes! Take some more time to get to know the fragrance.. I expect to pick up a bottle this summer! Can't wait!

Echoing the general sentiment here. Tried it, loved it.

The lemon meringue comparison is more abstract than photorealistic. If you were hoping for sugary and creamy, then this ain’t the one. The vanilla is understated and aromatic rather than custardy.

Well, being that this thread is up I figured I might as well ask this question.. I am planning on finishing of my Allure Homme collection with "Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche" sometime this summer! Is it really worth it to seek out a bottle of the EDTC over the EDP? I mean, is there really that much of a difference that paying more would be worth it? I have heard some say both are almost identical while others swear there is a big difference! I just don't know what to think?

From the chanel allure homme line, I own sport cologne (2016) which is one of my favourites zesty daytime fragrances when I just want to feel fresh and smell of citrus (simple, subtle, but fantastic in the line of dior homme cologne).

Is edition blanche very different from sport cologne? I imagine the difference is in the creaminess but, on the other hand, I read people who say it is not that creamy but very lemony, and sport cologne is already really lemony (plus orange). Is it worth having both? Thanks!!

    They're surprisingly different.

I don't think the Sport Cologne gets discussed as much. I think of it as being in the traditional "Eau de Cologne" style, similar to Dior Homme Cologne, the Chanel Les Exclusif "Eau de Cologne," Eau de Cologne Imperial by Guerlain, etc. Edition Blanche is its own thing. The "lemon" isn't as much like real lemon. I think it's just something Chanel worked up in their lab that worked.

The packaging of Edition Blanche doesn't hurt. I love those bottles.

The more I use it, the more I’m pulling more notes out of it yea, it just doesn’t have the lasting power I was hoping for compared to other ones in my collection. I’m not arguing that it’s a great scent, I was just expecting a lot more based on multiple reviews of it being this complex vanilla/custard/lemon pie type scent. I’m not really getting THAT but I am definitely getting lemon with a little hint of some warmer notes.

I was expecting some custard lemon with that amazing vanilla Tonka smell that’s in allure homme sport. Allure homme sport is my all time favorite, although I do love eau extreme just as much! Didn’t love it at first but it grew on me in the best way haha, but yea the Blanche is more just straight citrus lemon to me and not a lot of the “allure homme sport” warm vanilla smell. Maybe during the week it’ll open itself up to me more?

I sampled the "edt" and later on bought the edp. I don't notice any difference and I had a drop left in my sample when the bottle arrived. I did not do a side by side comparison though. If I did, maybe I would have found something but since I find them that close and I love both it did not matter at all.

It is a bit tricky to describe. It is not a sharp or extremely zesty lemon but it is very fresh with some rounded edges from the "creamy" vanilla. So no, I don't find it creamy, but the creamy touch takes it from being sharp or harsh. I don't know of that makes sense but I love the combination of fresh and sweet.

I have the reformulated Allure Homme Sport Cologne version and it is my favourite in the Allure Homme lineup so far. I haven’t tested Dior Homme Cologne a lot, but it smells more sterile and artificial in its freshness (like Purell hand sanitizer) than Sport Cologne. Sport Cologne smells sparkling and natural, and feels like a modernized and lighter version of Pour Monsier/Eau Sauvage. I love it from top to bottom. I agree that it is different from the rest of the Allure Homme line.
