    Default Drakkar Noir memories.

    http://raidersofthelostscent.blogspo...-part-one.html

How many memories, my bottle looked like this. One of my classics, when I went to university, together with Azzaro,
it was a perfume that smelled "clean", and everyone wore it. The current scent seems a little faded indeed.
Nice memories, pity that the article looks like a set of separate pieces.

This isn't one I've worn. It looks like a fairly typical entry in Raiders of the Lost Scent to me, updated with new information as it comes along.

This is something learnt today -- I had no idea Drakkar Noir is a flanker. D'uh

It is, but the original Drakkar really smells completely different. So while technically a flanker, it really is in name only to my nose.
    Current Top Ten:
    1) Portrait of a Lady original formula (EdP Frédéric Malle)
    2) Jasmin Antique (Rogue Perfumery)
    3) Giorgio for Men vintage (Giorgio Beverly Hills) - tie
    3) Giorgio V.I.P. Special Reserve (Giorgio Beverly Hills) - tie

    5) Dia pour Homme vintage edt (Amouage)

    6)
Anat Fritz and its reissue, called Classical (Anat Fritz)
    7) Captain vintage (Molyneux)
    8) Javanese Patchouli (Zegna) - tie
    8) Monsieur de Givenchy vintage (Givenchy) - tie
    8) Polo vintage (Ralph Lauren) - tie

Currently wearing: Dia Man by Amouage

Hmm - interesting. I don't remember Drakkar at all, I'm ashamed to say.

I have a sample of it that I have worn a couple times with the intent on reviewing it eventually. In truth, while competently composed, it really isn’t that memorable and does little to distinguish itself from its 70s contemporaries, IMO. There is a reason why very few remember Drakkar, instead remembering Drakkar Noir.

I once owned a vintage aerosol spray mechanism edt bottle (25ml); no mentioning of that unfortunately as I wanted to know the date of that bottle as it is really rare.

Looks like this and says 'Atomiseur' on the bottle instead of 'Vaporisateur'

Looking at box must be first formulation.
    My Top '11':

    - Paco Rabanne: Pour Homme (vtg)
    - Antaeus (vtg)
    - Azzaro: Pour Homme (vtg)
    - Armani: AdG Profumo
    - Jacques Bogart: Furyo
    - Guerlain: Héritage (vtg)
    - Thierry Mugler: A*men
    - SA: Al Basel
    - D&G: Pour Homme (vtg)
    - YSL: Kouros (vtg)
    - VC&A: Pour Homme

Happening to like and to own both Drakkar Noir, but also enjoying the initial vintage Drakkar very much as well as all the other flankers expect Dynamik - can relate very with having many nice memories with this one, as well as with this particular article incidentally posted on one of my favorite scent blogs

    Also own and love both.
