    Hèritage, Eau de Toilette
Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."

Good morning all !. Kicking off the new week cool and cloudy which seems like a blessed relief after the recent stifling humidity.

Zilpha, hope all will be well. Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery.

    Beautiful photos yesterday, ExtremeK.

I stayed up quite late last night watching old sets from
Glastonbury, which is not taking place this year of course.
The David Bowie set from 2000 was brilliant. What a talent he was!
Worth a watch - doesn't get much better than this imho.

I was moderately disgusted yesterday. We went to Walmart for a ream of printer paper. Haven't been there since January. Hardly anyone was wearing a Mask! No on was practicing safe distancing either! If I didn't need the paper so urgently, we would've just chucked it on any old shelf and gotten the hell out of there. All the other stores I frequent enforce mask-wearing. Apparently Walmart doesn't give a f*ck...

Urgh. Same here in our town, despite the warning signs all over the WalMart entrance and the recorded announcements . Lots of kids also running around touching everything. People acting like it doesn’t exist. I best not get started, or at not get started any further.

I’m wearing MAC Creme d’Nude this morning, and also just ordered up a bottle along with samples of Candy Yum and My Heroine. Somehow, I had acquired the notion that Velvet Teddy, Lady Danger and Ruby Woo were the only ones worth having. Not so, as Creme d’Nude is terrific, sort of Orchid Soleil but without the bizarre fresh tortilla note, with more elegant construction IMO, and with what MAC/ Lauder claim is magnolia. I suppose it magnoliesque, but I think it is more like a salty lily plus a pale almost milky lemon. I love all the Shadescents i’ve tried so far, and they are helping me spend less on Tom Ford. Something in CdN is causing a need for more magnolia today, so that will probably result in an afternoon of Jour.

What HoP said. Also, (socially distant) hugs and positive vibes to anyone who needs 'em. Since I find I'm feeling rather worn down and discouraged right now, I'll include myself in my own positivity.

My SOTD is Hermes Galop, from a sample I picked up at the BN Chicago meet up a little over a year ago. And now I have to go look up what "Doblis" leather is - Please feel free to chime in here if you know!

    Marvelous Monday, all!

Galop d'Hermès fragrance notes: Doblis leather, Rose, Saffron, Quince.
It’s thought that people who hope too much will just waste their life away and never get down to doing any real work. They’re confusing Hope with Wish, its lazy cousin... When Wish whispers, “Something is just around the corner,” what comes or not is never what was wished for. When Hope whispers “Something is just around the corner,” something always is. -- Charlie Elberson
