Default A few questions about powerhouse fragrances

Hello everyone, Zhang Fan here with another question. In powerhouse fragrances, I like the more elegant style like Chanel Antaeus more than the style like Kouros. I'm considering some other fragrances, too:

    Cartier Santos

    Givenchy Gentleman

Oscar de la Renta Pour Lui

    Here are my questions:

    1. Are these fragrances elegant?

    2. Are they similar to Antaeus?

    3. Are they worth buying in the current version?

    Thank you!

    IMO - Yes, No, Yes.

Concurring with hednic. Kouros is a world on its own, and these are not like that. Not as dark as Antaeus, but they are elegant.

From a personal viewpoint alone, especially vintage Santos (and current one as well) resembles at least slightly most formulations of Antaeus.

Also considering all the ones mentioned in the thread starting post very elegant and worthy buying, perhaps except current Gentleman-still a good scent, yet not as a powerhouse anymore.

As far as Givency Gentleman goes, I recommend the Gentleman EDP in the black bottle, outstanding fragrance 10/10, as far as performance goes, longevity is beastmode, but projection is moderate.

I don't think current Santos is very good, especially when compared to the vintage.

I agree that they are not really powerhouse fragrances .

However, if you do go for one of them, go with Santos......in the Concentree version. Current version is not good.
Seeking: Bottles/decants : of Pomegranate Noir, Midnight in Paris EDP, Feeling Man, Essence of John Galliano, Azzaro pour Homme (vintage),...etc.

Seeking decant/sample of Aramis Calligraphy Rose, Penhaligon's Esprit de Roi, PdE Ambre Russe, Jil Sander Feeling Man ....etc. I have samples to swap.

    Please PM me !
