I'm up at 5am, bleary eyed, waiting for a severe thunderstorm that's creeping to my backyard. So far, lightning and lots of thunder to wake a person up but no rain. I opened my door to call in two cats. Two other cats darted outside. So many cats. I need some positive sensory input to drift back to sleep. Sweetened condensed milk, AKA Matin Calan.

Thumbs up Re: SOTD: Sunday, 12th July, 2020

Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."

l'm wearing Golden Paradise for another afternoon in the garden. We wanted to venture out for a pub lunch today, but you have to book ahead now, & everywhere is fully booked already. So we booked for next Sunday instead, & l'm so looking forward to eating out again after all this time. lt's just a shame that all the spontaneity has gone out of it.

    Enjoy your Sunday, everyone!

    Hello!
My 2 weeks of summer vacation time just started and we're off to the seaside for a week. Of course, the heat stopped and it's rather chilly now (18 C, typical Lithuanian summer instead of +27 that was all the month before), but that's not stopping me. I might not be posting much, but we will see.
I'm wearing Les Amoureux de Peynet by Molinard.
    Hugs from the seaside!

Has anyone else's dawn chorus of birds disappeared? I can't tell if they're exhausted by the heat or have all found mates and can't be arsed to show off anymore. Whichever, I miss them. Cicadas are filling the morning and evening void, but their screeching is far from pleasant.

I also miss Quarry. Consoling myself with some Eau Fraiche by Dior.

    Have a wonderful vacation, Clockwork!

lt's been warm & humid today, one of those days when all the flying ants seem to take off at once. l've been sunbathing & watching the swifts gorging themselves.

    Wearing Caligna this evening.

ELdO Fat Electrician. It's not a regret purchase, because though I was completely enamored by the name, it's also gorgeous. However, it is barely a whisper of a scent on me and a short one, at that. I wore it to bed and woke up to nothing. It had completely vanished. I know some people spritz on their necks; maybe I'll try that with this one.

    eldo_fat_electrician.jpg

The good news is, I've now justified another vetiver purchase.
