    Default I'm a sample addict

    Hi

i love discovering new smells and I NEED to find one good new perfume that I test using samples after my day of work.

It started quite simply, by buying a few samples on a french website, then I was hooked

I spend quite a lot on samples because sometimes 3-4 perfumes are not to my taste so I try new perfumes until I find something interesting.

    Please help me
I should attain to AP ("Anonymous Perfumeholics")

You’re not alone, believe me. I’d have spent a few Gs on samples by now.

Same here. I find hoarding on samples more fulfilling and satisfying. Mostly, I keep them half full, so I can test them out in future someday.

If you have the itch for variety, it's certainly better than blind buying a lot of bottles. I also collect a lot of samples, particularly when I want to explore a particular house, style, or note in depth. There's no better way to learn!

Without samples and testing/owning/using them up the point of nearly becoming an addition, there would be a much higher likeliness to risk blind buying the scents not liked and a much smaller one to discover and enjoy the scents that eventually become favorites

Same here, I guess the only way might be to impose to yourself some limits.
For instance, I did 1 purchase/month tops for 10-15 fragrance samples. I only tested max 2 fragrances/day and at the end, restested those I loved or was unsure of. When you purchase 10-15 fragrances, this lasts you easely a month so you don't feel the need for purchasing more.

I am battling with myself at the moment not to buy winter fragrance samples since I have no use yet for it, i force myself to wait september

Also, with time, you'll probably become more selective

Its easier to experience fragrances by sampling, then once you find what you enjoy a FB can be purchased. There are so many fragrances, buying samples is the only way to really be able to smell near all of them.

The only way I can think of breaking this addiction is if you find a different activity to do after work. As with most fragrance buying addictions, it's best to focus on and enjoy what you already have instead of looking for something new.

Hi Ionone, may I ask what French website you buy your samples from?
