Default Today I gave away the following perfumes ...

How it is when you are disappointed by buying blindly!

Instead of selling on ebay now, it is given away to good perfume acquaintances.

Arrived by parcel a few days ago and gone again:

    Proraso - Cypress & Vetyver

    A very nice gesture!

Today, Diptyque Oud Palao is rolling on down the road to a fellow Basenoter. I wanted to love it, even to like it, but I couldn't.

Giving to your wife has the added benefit that you can still sneak a few sprays.

I never do that, nor do I recommend, I give away to my girl, my roommate, friend... But one of the reasons is stopping them pillaging my wardrobe! Me using the gift will make them only more comfortable in doing so

It’s very close to Oud Ispahan. If it were any detail you disliked in the Diptyque maybe you will like the Dior. I love OI.
I don’t understand. It is so vast that surpasses all understanding.Understanding is always limited. But not understanding can have no boundaries.I feel like I'm much more complete when I don't understand. Not understanding, like I say,is a gift. Not understanding, but not as a simple-minded.The good thing is to be intelligent and not understand. It's a strange blessing, like having craziness without being crazy. It is a meek disinterest,it is a stupid sweetness.

Haha, good point! If she catches you stealing some sprays, you can't expect your own wardrobe to be safe!

I own and wear Dior Oud Ispahan. Adore it!

The main reason I got Oud Palao was to round out my growing Diptyque collection. I guess I'm not a collector after all because if I can't wear it, I don't want it in my house. Actually, I developed an aversion so I don't want to lay eyes on the bottle that might trigger an unpleasant memory.

It seems you are having troubles for reading properly. Chatting high is not always a good idea.

Same reason I avoid Kenzo Pour Homme. When I get such unpleasant associations I avoid wearing the fragrance for a long time, sometimes more than one year. In some cases it works, in others it doesn’t.
BTW nice house to build a collection of. L’Eau Trois is excellent (if you haven’t tried it yet).

I have not tried L'Eau Trois. It's herbal, right? I tried L'Eau and L'Autre and enjoy them both. I'd like to get all three so I can have all the originals. Yeah, I'm a Diptyque fanatic!

It’s incensy, pine-y, resinous. Between so many good offerings from them I guess it’s my favorite. I believe you won’t be disappointed.
