Hello, my name's Mike although I often go by Miket online. I live in Sydney, Australia (within Sydney I've lived in Manly, Harbord, Strathfield, Penrith, Dulwich Hill and Croyden Park) though I was born in Comboyn (a country-town a few hundred miles north of Sydney near Port Macquarie, I say this as you're unlikely to find it on a map) and have also lived on the Gold Coast (Burleigh Heads) and Byron Bay. I have one younger sister and one younger brother as well as an older brother who is deceased (I was quite young at the time) though I do not see them often. I have been married once and have an estranged daughter who turned sixteen this year, and that (along with the events which led to her estrangement) is the one thing about my life I would change if given a chance. That said I was recently engaged, again. In so far as work is concerned I have done many things (the most unusual: a job cleaning accident and crime scenes, and yet that was less stomach turning than another cleaning job I had at a bakery so go figure) by training I am, and have worked longest as a masseuse, and later as a natural therapist (specializing in skin care) and in the latter capacity I owned and operated a small business for some time selling cosmetics. I have been very lucky over the last ten years in my personal and professional life, and it has enabled me to essentially retire, though I still consider myself to have a job (7-3, five days a week) in that I am endeavouring to make the quantum leap from writer to paid author as it were
