Reviews of Eau de Caron

This review is of vintage Eau de Caron. Searching the internet, you'd think this scent from 1980 had never existed. This is not to be confused with Eaux de Caron. I've had this for a while but would never reach for it until I was totally smitten by vintage Alpona. Something made me say "wait a minute, I've smelled something similar to this before" and sure enough, Eau de Caron, with it's light, lemon pastry creaminess, seems like an eau de cologne version of Alpona. It's as hauntingly beautiful as Alpona, but light as chiffon and doesn't last longer than 1/2 an hour with only nose to wrist sillage. Too bad there isn't any vintage Alpona floating around for others to compare and confirm this. It's strange how scents can just disappear into oblivion.

I would classify this one as unisex. It is a common feeling lemony/lavender Eau de Cologne, but for what it is worth...Jicky's got this one beat by a mile.
