Reviews of Aromadite

“In 1561 the chemist Vincenzo di Domenico Brunetti was the first manager of the Santissima Annunziata Pharmacy about whom we have information. (A.S.F. – Decima Granducale 3784 cc. 110v. – 111r A.S.F. – Arte dei Medici e Speziali, 12, c.123v.).
Since that time the Farmacia Santissima Annunziata has always mantained, apart from the usual prestige typical of every pharmacy at that age, a special tradition in preparing galenic prescriptions and products for hygiene and the beauty of the skin. We have graduated, from ancient processes completely handmade, with pestle and mortar, to special quality controlled preparations made with modern and safe machinery, giving special attention to high standards and throughly researching our prescriptions which are made both with traditional and new raw products.
Our ancient tradition has been mantained and the standards of our products have become, if possible, better and safer.
Therefore we are able to guarantee, First class quality of the raw materials which we use; careful preparation with modern machinery; the freshness of the final product, with the name of active ingredients, number of lot and expiry date written on the label; and particular attention to the skin requirements, according to the seasons, the various climates and the psychophysical situation of our customers.”

Aromadite is an excellent vintage talky amber somehow languid and licentious. Irresistible and almost translucent, in the same clan with Grossmith Phul-Nana, E.Coudray Ambre et Vanille, O.P.S.O. Dalila and others. You are immediately invested by a weird fist of lemony/gingery cool powder (talc, vegetal coolness and chypre somehow eliotropic amber) so spicy and "childish" as an arcane padded remembrance. The tart lemony vibe, yet present, is anyway enclosed in the body of a talky enhancing cloud of white dusty amber, white flowers, dry balsamic muskiness and powdery woods. I detect structure, aromatic dry patterns and an aristocratic bergamot/patchouli over a somewhat vintage and "cultured" amber-vanilla. Beyond the "front side" white powder several delicate undiscerned floral patterns provide subtleness and articulation while the spicy lemon/vanilla enhances the "nobiliar" side of the aroma. The ginger/dill accord provides an intense dry freshness perfectly joined to dry talc. The aromatic spiciness and the lemony undertone well merge eachother providing a weird penetrating "pungency" perfectly enclosed in the animalic spicy (cloves?) powder. Refined and decadent but at the same time versatile and easy to wear.
