I get an interesting chypre with emphasis on the mossy patchouli.
I'm reminded of the Demeter fragrance "grass," but this one sticks around for a bit longer.
At first I was disappointed because I was expecting some sort of fresh green vegetable scent, and that's really not what Brussels Sprouted is. Instead, it's actually a very nice patchouli with lots of interesting things happening.
It's got a distinctive butterscotch liqueur flavor, as well as a green mossy patchouli. For the first couple of hours, there was an anise liqueur smell as well, and there's a subtle chocolatey richness underscoring everything. It's not very sweet, which I like. With notes like this, it could be a sticky gourmand mess, but instead it's actually fairly subtle and mature with the Vin Santo wine/cocktail vibes it's putting out.
I think this would appeal to fans of A*Men, though it's not as cluttered or as strong (honestly, it doesn't seem to last very long). It could also win over fans of New Haarlem's creme brulee smell. It seems to have been either discontinued or is on its way out, so sniff it while you can!
