This is actually a very excellent scent. Edge is a glorified, incredibly potent, textured and complex bar of Irish Spring bar soap for the first hour until this turns into a sandalwood accord that's so creamy that it resembles amber, no joke. The perfume’s an über soapy and balmy sandalwood scent where sandalwood is the main focus once the dry down hits.
I love this. One of the few Swiss Arabian perfumes that's not a complete synthetic mess and isn't nuclear. This lasts for a long time but it's a well mannered scent with civil sillage, applied lightly of course.
The whole perfume is basically an incredibly soapy and incredibly creamy yummy fest. The dry down on this is really good. It smells like amber although it's not. It's a very good sandalwood aroma chemical that smells natural with the Irish Spring bar soap underneath. I get a very small amount of cedarwood and no white musk.
Keep in mind, this blend isn't that expansive, it's blended very well to create a whole which is, Irish Spring bar soap and a delicious sandalwood. I mean c'mon, the liquid is green and the same shade as the soap for goodness sake ha! To be totally honest, I love this and wear it a lot and, I'm a perfume snob.
By the way, this is an eau de toilette and not an eau de parfum ‘although’ this composition still has a 75% denatured alcohol content. In other words, it’s very long lasting but totally wearable.
Also, this is Sung Pour Homme but reincarnated. Alfre Sung smells exactly like Irish Spring bar soap, just like Edge for Men...
