Reviews of Cologne

Big orange flavor. Buzzy. Fizzy. A bit flowery. Sour. Slightly bitter. Stays linear for awhile.
More flower. Hint of musk. Palest leather. Nothing new here. Done to death.

Neither refreshing nor cloying. A musky orange morphing into leather.
Leans towards the masculine. Montale does it much better.

Fragrance: 6.5/10
Projection: 7.5/10
Longevity: 7.5/10

Very fresh and clean. A mix of orange/citrus house cleaner with a bit of leather and florals. The leather helps pull this one into masculine territory for me but still a completely unisex scent for sure.

Projection is okay, is easily noticeable in close quarters but doesn't get out much past that.

This isn't a traditional orange/bergamot/petitgrain eau. Instead, it's more of a mix of lemon candies and fake pine. If you're familiar with old fashioned cleaning products, this is like a mix of Pine-Sol and Lemon Pledge that somehow ends up considerably worse than the sum of its parts, somehow managing to smell both dirty and like unpleasant nostril-tingling cleanser. There's a hint of ammonia in there as well, which is probably at fault for a lot of the issues here.

If you want a good lemony cologne, just stick with Acqua di Parma or Eau de Hadrien. There's no need for this.

Nothing to complain about here, and no surprises given the notes. Lovely orange blossom and jasmine at the opening. Very well done. Not sweet, and light. Settles into a slightly soapy chord (typical of orange blossom scents) supported by very light musk. If there is leather, it is the merest hint and marries with the woody tone often found in orange blossom.

An orangey counterpart to 4711. Very classic, fairly short lived, but so refreshing. The opening blast practically shimmers. Longevity isn't great but that comes with the territory. I would've like a dab of oakmoss in the endphase but I bet the guys at ELdO were intentionally trying to avoid being derivative. In any case I can't advocate the price tag for something whose joy can be matched at 1/3 the cost.
