Epine Mortelle (2015)

Pepper, cumin, violet and angelica make for a great spicy opening blast, which is counterbalanced by a fruity peach-raspberry background, and this combination - fruity/spicy/floral works really well on my skin.

In the subsequent stages a pleasant rose is added, a rose that is more on the brighter side and not of the dark and brooding variety. The main addition in the base is a subtle tonka that provides an added dose of sweetness in this overall not really sweet fragrance. The top notes remain present throughout.

Now the performance: excellent! Moderate sillage, great projection and twelve hours of longevity. Very well blended and balanced. A great spring composition. 3.5/5
