Hemlock’s powdery petals, brightened with bergamot. A deadly, yet unexpectedly-delicate flower. Illuminated with golden mimosa and a floral flourish of heliotrope. Crisp and modern with a bite of cucumber.

The opening blast is a fresh green mix, with the cucumber soon peeling of the mix to move into the foreground - but temporarily only. After a while the bergamot makes more of an appearance.
The heart notes are an interesting blend. A musty bitterness is bright along by the hemlock, whilst a cassie impression contributes a cinnamon-honey background, with a nigh-iris-like powderiness being present too. Brief floral blips - a mimosa here, a whiff of oleander there - provide additional variety.
A slight heliotrope-derived spiciness is the hallmark of the base, but it is rather discreet and blending in whelk with what is left form the earlier phases.
I get moderate sillage, very good projection, and nine hours of longevity on my skin.
A Jo Malone spring creation whose notes are a touch bland and pale at times, but the ingredients chosen bear the hallmarks of some originality indeed. The performers is very good for a Jo Malone. 3.25/5

rogalalAn interesting, pretty floral that honestly doesn't smell like any combination I've tried before.
I have no idea what hemlock smells like, but this is a combination of a honeyed, pollen-heavy mimosa with marzipan heliotrope, with a bit of powdery, soapy white florals as well. Added to this complicated combination of flowers, the cucumber comes across to me more like lily, but with a plasticky freesia quality as well. The whole thing shimmers like gold, but also maintains a deep green sensation of pollen.
The closest comparison I can make is Malle's En Passant, but though this contains the same basic ingredients, it's mixed differently, coming across more bright and shiny and simultaneously less synthetic (less plasticky than Malle's lilac) and also less realistic (than Malle's thick acacia base).
Very wearable (more so than En Passant to me), but weird and interesting enough to keep me entertained. Thumbs up!
