  1. MIA Fragrance Review: Beau de Jour by Tom Ford (2020)

Not a lot has changed between the release of Tom Ford Beau de Jour (2019) as part of the private blend line and Tom Ford Beau de Jour (2020) from the signature range, but the tweak is worth mentioning. Most importantly, the packaging update to more-closely resemble other newer entries in the SIgnature line with the ribbed cylindrical bottle, plus the slightly nicer (but still expensive) price tag, make Beau de Jour as a semi-permanent addition to the masculine line up a bit more appealing for some. ...

  2. Photos of collection + curio bottle fun!

Mostly for resource purposes, specific bottles referred to in discussions and also a log of the items for split and sale. (Save getting the sales/splits thread getting too huge!)

    First up.

  3. MIA Fragrance Review: Y Le Parfum by Yves Saint Laurent (2021)

When I smelled Y Le Parfum by Yves Saint Laurent (2021), I fully got what I expected. Everyone in the upper-mid designer space dances to the beat of Chanel's drum, but can't quite master the moves in much the same way because unlike Chanel, they're beholden to corporate overlords that maximize explosive short-term profit growth over long-term sustainability, meaning they can't afford to take the risks or set the trends like Chanel does, but rather will follow marketing data and demographic research ...

  4. MIA Fragrance Review: Ferragamo Intense Leather by Salvatore Ferragamo (2021)

Ferragamo Intense Leather by Salvatore Ferragamo (2021) is ostensibly for fans of the original Ferragamo Eau de Toilette (2020) from the previous year, so there isn't a ton to say for people who tested that and found it completely unwearable. WIth that in mind, I'll keep my thoughts on this flanker pretty brief because to expand upon it is really just talking about the original pillar and you can read that over at the relevant review for the scent. I guess it's something of a nod to Ferragamo for ...

  5. 31 Days of Iris: A Day of Rest and Housekeping

During this project, I am assimilating a list of tempting iris fragrances that I have never heard of. Iím not going to share them just yet, because some appear to be unknown bargains that I, selfishly, want to purchase before I share them with any potential readers.

In the meantime, a confession: I bought some Insolence EDP this morning. I am trying to compete this project without spending fortune on new perfumes, but I really want my Insolence EDP in the old style bottle. I ...
