Fresh, clean, slightly spicy, gingery, even soapy, Vetiver. This is a really good smelling green Vetiver, far more down the Original Vetiver path than the Encre Noire style Vetiver. I almost get something like a ginger ale note in this though not exactly. This is probably the best "fresh" green leaf Vetiver I've tested so far from the list. While I don't like it as much as Original Vetiver it does smell good and I have no problem wearing it.

However, this is overall a light scent. Not quite as bad as some other ones I've tested but it's definitely closer to the skin and doesn't project a ton. This is the sort of scent I wish I had a bigger sample because I think going heavier on the sprays would really help it. It's perfect for the office, nothing unpleasant about it, I couldn't see anyone being offended by this, and it stays close enough to the skin that you don't have to worry about people being able to smell you two rooms over. Probably more of a spring/summer scent I do think the slightly spicy note allows it to be worn year round. This is more of a daytime and close encounter scent. Someone who wants a fresh Vetiver with a spicy and ginger note while not having to worry about offending others will love this. After smelling it I looked up bottle prices and I ended up buying a bottle because. . .

My Wife's Rating: Scent - 9.5/10.

She LOVED this scent. To her she thought the actual smell rivaled Original Vetiver. Not that it smelled identical but that she liked this scent almost as much as Original Vetiver. She thought it just smelled fresh and clean and just plain good. I let her smell it multiple times and she was consistent with liking it. She did agree with the performance being closer to the skin but the scent was just so good to her.

I bought this one because my wife loved it (and I thought it was very good) and when I was pricing bottles I found out this is a discontinued fragrance. It is good enough that I wanted a bottle and didn't want to risk not having this one later. Yes the performance is not usually what I go for but it just plain smells good and there's plenty of times that I won't want to have a super powerful fragrance. The price was right for this one and I had to get it.

Next Fragrance Review: Lubin Le Vetiver.
