Olivia Giacobetti is one of the great names of perfumery. Famous for creating the very first fig fragrances, a trend that is still massively popular and finally gaining steam in the mainstream, naturalistic impressions, cool incenses and translucent woods, and responsible for much of the output of early Diptyque. Giacobetti owns her own perfume house, IUNX, and creates under her company ISKIA.

Surprised that I have 7 out of 8 of hers mentioned.

      ^^^ I'm surprised u missed out on one :)

Nice article! But surprised that neither Philosykos, nor the Idole EDT get mentioned here (the EDP does, but the EDT is "THE" masterpiece of her creations so far)...

Fun article, thanks. I was hoping Dzing! would get a mention - I just blind bought it from the TK Maxx website...

Great article as usual - makes me appreciate the perfumer even more. As MrsDalloway, I also think that Dzing! should have been in.

Looking at the list of perfumes created by her, I was shocked to see that she was the creator of the monster Tirrenico. A Mr Hyde moment for the perfumer. (I've never smelled the Andre Putnam, and now I worry that it might be indeed the same...)

I am one of her many admirers. I would like to know why there have been hardly any releases attributed to her in recent years. Is she taking a break or are things being released that I'm unaware of?
