About myhaiku
- Biography:
- A Jovan fragrance, of all things, was what got me really interested in perfumes in my youth....ahh yes, Andron. I got so much attention with that on. This led me to Chanel No. 19, wonderfully green and not overly floral. When Andron was no longer made, to my adolescent nose, mixing 2 parts of Chanel no 19, 1 part Chanel 22 (thanks mom) and 1 part Jovan musk was pretty close to that particular Andron for women back then (80s).
My other major hobby includes horticulture. I enjoy propagating various rare plants and create landraces for specific attributes suited for my environment.
I also love to research in general.

The first experiment of this year will be growing nicotine free tobacco with a specific technique I will be developing. I will be growing a selected blonde tobacco and woodland variety, with dry curing in the end. (Turkish tobaccos are too acrid/acidic.) Each will be alcohol extracted, and also steam distilled. This will be one of the yearlong adventures in experimenting. Timing of the steam distillation will be to extract certain constituents which I will blend in a final product of alcohol extraction
