L'Artisan to launch May rose scent : Rose Privée

29th January, 2015

Rose Privée
L'Artisan Parfumeur have announced Rose Privée; a new feminine fragrance due in April. The fragrance was created by Bertrand Duchaufour and his apprentice, Stéphanie Bakouche. The fragrance is  a  celebration  of  the  rare  and  iconic May  Rose  (Rose  de  Mai)

The company say of the May Rose:

This extraordinary flower  is  emblematic  of the Grasse hinterland,  the epicentre of modern perfumery. This particular rose is fragile and precious, and thus highly prized as it can only be picked when in bloom during the month of May.

Notes for the fragrance include may rose, carnation, magnolia, lilac, basil, violet leaves, patchouli and hay. The fragrance was created by Master perfumer, Duchaufour and his in-house apprentice, Bakouche:

Bertrand shared his passion, knowledge, and talent with Stéphanie guiding her to find the right proportions, and a memorable ‘hook’to the fragrance. He shared his savoir-faire, helping her to be objective regarding her creation and to build longevity into her fragrance. Through this Eau de Parfum, L’Artisan Parfumeur illustrates its unique approach to perfume-making, with a Master training a new generation perfumer, in the great tradition of French craftsmanship. Rose Privée is presented in a luxurious packaging decorated with precious colours. With Rose Privée, created by a master perfumer and his apprentice, L’Artisan Parfumeur celebrates the May Rose, modern and sophisticated.

Rose Privée will be available as 50ml and 100ml Eau de Parfum.
